That's where I got mine too. I guess I wasn't aware that these failed all the time. I assumed the one I had lasted 24 years, so if a new one lasted that long, I would happily buy another one because that would mean that both the truck and I would still be kicking.I don't remember it being $50. That was my exact assumption too. Strong odds I'm not here in another 24 years. It's the next guy's problem now. That's where I got mine too. I guess I wasn't aware that these failed all the time. Heck, if you're in a pinch, you can use a simple ARB air locker valve if you got one laying around. These 12vdc valves are dime a dozen but the mounting solution for this valve that the PO acquired is rather nice. I believe these are simple on/off valves. Meaning, when you want the water to go the rear, the ECU turns on the washer pump AND activates this valve. If I'm mistaken, please correct me.
Yeah like thatlike this?
$37.xx plus $11.xx shipping gets pretty f***(ng close to $50.
Thanks for your opinions on the subject. I was actually just trying to see if the OPs fix was still working. If I knew how to make the middle finger emoji here you'd get it. Cheers!
Mainly because spending $50 for a valve that's going to fail in a few years seems dumb if there's a better option.
If you use actual washer fluid, it acts as a lubricant and can extend the life of the components.Anyone do this mod that can verify length of life? I need to replace my diverter...AGAINI use distilled water and have had to replace my OEM diverter every 2-3 years. I think the last one I bought lasted just over a year.
