I'd bid on it, but it would be like pissing in the wind.

Those door plugs are big pimpin.
Definitely and much appreciated. Didn’t you have to shakedown an old ladg for them?

It’s a trying time for that week…you’re hoping for a good outcome. You’re checking the site and direct contact emails and some folks are like…” I asked a question but never heard from the seller”… makes you nuts as you only have the greatest intentions

Youve certainly made a royal entrance!

This is absolutely awesome. I’m so appreciative, inspired, jealous, envious of all the effort and details you’ve put into this. I want to embark on a journey like this - maybe not spread over 10 years :).

I recently acquired a 1969 FJ40 from South America….. I know, I know, hold the jokes - - but it’s starting from a (slightly) better position then this rig from WV!

I have so, so, so many questions! Let’s start with - - where do you source the cover over the fuel filling inlet pipe? That part seems impossible to source.

Thank you, the extended timeframe was a little more budget and sanity friendly.

Alot of the parts can be found used in clean condition, you just need to know where to look. Mud Classified, Marks Offroad, Classic Cruisers , Cruiser Corp, Facebook, Valley Hybrids…….

@COLtoUSAFJ40 WELCOME! you have come to the right place…there is a collection of people here who could teach Toyota a few things about Land Cruisers from the ‘60’s -‘80’s. YOU'RE GONNA LOVE IT!

I was told when I joined MUD. “pictures or it didn’t happen”…look forward to seeing your project

Thank you! Glad to be here. If there’s any folks in the central Indiana region that like to teach me a few things, or point me to shops that specialize in LC’s…. Sure would appreciate to make the connections.

Akron isn’t too far from. Indiana….

I don't spend any time on BAT because I don't have the space, budget, or time for another car.

The thing that surprises me is the number of 40/45s that are on sale. Reading the descriptions, many have been owned less that 2 years. Are these guys regularly "flipping" 40s or is this just a busy time for selling 40s. (Or is this a regular thing?) Like this one:

Having watched from afar the work y'all put in on this rig, I really hope you can get a great outcome. This one is a prize and deserves to go to someone who will appreciate it. (And hopefully, your work will be rewarded.)

Cheers!

Are you volunteering to take mine on and make it look just like yours?! :). I am originally from the Cleveland area….still have family there.
PM me if you need some help with yours.
