that is all part of the love of doing a good job and designing a finished product. That and the mud complaints of course.

Complaints.......

Are those clutches ready to go yet? At least one guy needs one.......

SLACKER...:flipoff2:

Oh, you want way too much for that elegant custom solution that you spent a ton of time and effort on.....

Strut would be nice but I probably would stick with "non strut" if given the option to keep cost down. Count me in for a immediate purchase when it's time. Easy access to the rear is well worth $888.88 to me.

How do you think these panels would look and hold up if anodized black?

The powder coated panel in the picture is several years old and has been in various climates

Phil,
Your product looks like it is a well thought out solution for those of us in the market for flip up rear quarter windows. I am definately going to be a buyer of one of the options now on the market or soon to be released.

Can you share any more details on how the hinge is attached to the truck. Also what is the thickness of the Aluminium you are using.

I don't know if this would add significant expense to the design, but having struts that could be easily disconnected in the event you want to open the window more than the struts allow and get them out of the way, would give us the best of both worlds. Your simple manual rod for when struts would be,annoying/in the way and struts for when you want to just flip the latch and have the window stay open.

Also, would you consider offering your panels already powdercoated?

We ship the panel unfinished and leave the type of finish up to the individual buyer.

Awesome Phil another awesome product..!! Can you post an upclose picture of the manual rod and how it sits closed and open

The rod is just a 1/4 rod with rubber caps on the ends very basic but effective.

Needs smaller hinges. :D

But even with the monster hinges I'm still interested.

what about thickness on your panels?
do you get any wind noise from them? I know our trucks are noisy... just wondering if there was a noticeable difference.

Worries about some one prying this open from the side?
Hinge/ latch material material? i am guessing Stainless that is powder coated..

Panel is 5052 1/8" aluminum
'5052 aluminum sheet is used for marine applications due to its high salt water corrosion resistance, overall corrosion resistance and strength compared to other aluminum. It is easy to form, stamp, weld and finish.'
Same stuff and size the top of my CampTeq is made from that I frequently stand on without issue.

I cant comment on noise but with everything else going on I cant imagine it creating any more then we already have. For the record I cant hear for $hit

It would be a LOT quicker just to take out a window then pry the panel.

The hinges are poly

All the parts are spec'd in the first post

I like the simplicity of the design and that someone can easily go back to stock sliding window if they want. How are you thinking you will finish your own aluminum panels?

For me this is on the top of my list, Romey can you hear me;)
