I tried that same wheel on my 1989 and the center bore was too small for my IFS Aisin hubs. Are you using spacers or do they fit the 85 SFA without them?

No sir no spacers. I did have to grind down a very small part of the knuckle though. There is a little rubbing from the tires at full lock but not that bad

Since last post:

Removed the chrome fender garnishes, removed the hub caps, painted wheels grey and added 33x10.50r15 Maxxis Razrs

great thread! I have owned a well built 2005 Tacoma, a gorgeous FJ60, and now this stunning 86 4wD ext cab!
basics: 77k original miles 22RE auto ext cab. Plans are likely just a small lift for now. OME or a 5100 lift with a new leaf pack.

Bought this 80 from a farmers field in Fresno, ca a couple years ago while on vacation. $1500 blue 1999 plates and melting into the ground... bought a Weber, cap rotor blah, blah. Started right up. Went back to Hawaii where I live and left it at my dads house. Next time I went to Cali I had OME 2” springs, shackles, unbolt flip kit delivered there and my son and I installed the lift. Shipped her back to Hawaii and has been our surf/beach truck since.

the old paint and lack of clear coat let rust start to invade the old girls panels and I’ve been enjoying driving her more and more... after contemplating paint ended up taking everything but the cab and engine apart and cutting,shaping new metal in, epoxy primer, filler primer, sealer, 2 coats single stage, wet sand, 2 coats single stage mixed 1:1 with clear, raptor liner... 5.29’s and grizzly locker waiting to go in after bodies done. Work in progresss
