It looks like I have not posted here yet.

No mudding or wheeling here.

Stock and mostly original 1987 Toyota 2 Wheel Drive Truck with just over 95,000 miles.

22R carbureted Engine, A43D Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, Extra Value Package (EVP)

It is a great and clean daily driver!

The only thing I might add in the future is factory air conditioning.

Nice truck! When are you going to cut it up and do a SAS and bob the bed? :hillbilly:

Just kidding, really nice to see a such an original truck being preserved. Let me know where you get your A/C parts from; I've been looking forever.

Yotayard gets AC trucks sometimes....

Thanks!

I knew I was going to get a comment like that!

I think I have about 1/3 of the parts I need to install Air Conditioning.

I got the inside air box, wiring harnesses A/C dash button, A/C amplifier, and hard lines from a Pick n' Pull salvage yard. I was lucky because just about everything else on the truck was already missing and these trucks don't make it into the salvage yards unless they have some major collision damage.

I bought a new 4Runner condenser from Denso (same condenser that the Trucks use, but it has a little condenser that goes in front of the main one for the extra cooling capacity the 4Runner needs).

I still need the soft lines, compressor, compressor bracket, Receiver/Dryer, lower radiator shroud attachment, A/C idle up VSV A/C idle up diaphragm (for carburetor), condensation drain tube, all new "O" rings, and probably some more odds and ends like replacing the thermal expansion valve.

I should probably just install the dash button for now just to confuse passengers.... ;)

AC drier receiver, orings and a few of those parts are still available from your dealer.

Rockauto also sells Denso AC junk, and the price was shocking cheap. I just replaced everything, except the lines, in my 85 from them.

So while waiting on my plate for the 45/80 that has been sorted a trip I had committed to crept up. Threw some gear in the Hilux and came to terms with the body damage I might take. I'm happy to report the little truck conquered without incident including Tray Mtn. Best fuel was at 57-61MPH, 27.8MPG. (3) other rigs were on the track as well and just shook their heads.

Finished the week long Track with a night on the beach and then back home to Boca Raton. Absolutely nothing required attention, didn't even bother airing down. Kept tires at 31PSI. Recommend this track for anyone who enjoys the outdoors. Denis Lacayo, James Cameron and John Ellis all did amazing. Everyone is home and safe thinking about our next trip, Kentucky. Why Kentucky? Why not?

I think I speak for everybody here.

I hate you.

So this is my 1982 Toyota Pickup SR5 4x4, she has the stock 22R and drive train. But i do have a dual case setup and new marlin W56 ready to go in, just need to find the time. She has 33in goodyear rubber, with 4.88 R&P, along with Spartan locker upfront and Lockright locker in the rear and also a factory front full trussed axle housing and I gave her a 3in lift and steel front bumper and rear. LCE Stainless Header and deleted all the emmisions crap. I do plan on eventually going the full frame off resto but thats a few years down the road. So this is the most current picture i have of my 82 SR5 next to my 16 tacoma.

This is what she looked like when my dad first gave her to me in 2012 i think it was.
