Thank you guys for all the kind words and support!

@ singletrackjunkie, I bought them from Ebay from a Korean vender. They were the only ones that have a split design, so they will work with the factory interior. Just do a search on Ebay for “heated seats kits”, I tried to see what vender I purchased them from but I couldn’t find the name. Thanks for the support!

I am looking forward to seeing the stance with wheels and tires installed. I am "assuming" that you will be adding larger tires.:D

Very nice build you have going! Looks like you're putting the right kind of time/ love/ attention that this 40 deserves.

Will definitely be checking in to see how it turns out.

one of my favorite builds

I am not sure if it is the Tuned Port Injection motor or the massive amount of detail you go through on your build, but this is one of my favorite builds to watch.
you make it look so simple by just putting up pictures of the finished parts. LOL
Great Job! I love it.
Thanks for sharing.

Day 157

@ ScooterFJ40 and gwalt584; thank you for all the support, it keeps me going.

I wanted a way to keep the factory gas pedal and have it work with my TPI. So I created a bracket that would bolt to existing holes in the firewall. Then a fabricated another bracket for my steering path. I needed to add a third steering joint to clear the frame and headers. This bracket also uses all factory holes, no drilling on the frame.

FJ60 Front Drive shaft needed

Hi Fellow Muders,

I could really use your help sourcing a FJ60 front drive shaft with a double cardan (CV) to complete my build. I believe the years 1980 - 1984 have this kind of setup. In addition it must have a 2.36" X 2.695" eye to eye bolt pattern on both sides. It must be tight and in good condition, please let me know what you have and how shipped to 94588. Pictures would also be great. By the way, I know $OR has them but I'm trying to keep the price down. Link below to my ad in the WTB section, thank you for your time,

Sean

Day 158

I finally finished the steering linkage with three joints, it still barely misses the frame, headers and radiator but, it works. Then I modified and installed the S10 filler neck and cap into the original gas door housing. Next on the list is the brake completion, with an upgraded mastery cylinder and booster.

Days 159 - 161

I completed the gas filler neck (what a contraption!) and connected it to the tank, then installed the gas cap door along with the lock and backstop. Next I completed the brakes by adding / restoring a 90’s 4rummer master cylinder with booster. Bent all new lines and connected them to a proportioning valve.
