No correction. I have the stock Michelins, and according to my GPS my speedometer is dead accurate at 80 km/h. Also passed one of those radar thingies on the highway on the way up, and it agreed that my speedometer is dead accurate at 80.

Boost maxes out at about 10.5 psi. A few months ago I followed the LCOOL instructions on tuning it... can't really remember what I did... more trying to reduce smoke. Didn't seem to change anything.

Really good to hear, that is excellent economy.
Those Lcool directions are crap.
I thought you got the guide how to properly tune one of those pumps.
Its really not all that hard and should help clean up the smoke a bit.

Oh right, you sent me something... My pump was already rebuilt by the previous owner, and all I remember is it didn't require much adjustment by following the directions. I basically just verified that it was already correct... I think I turned down the idle smoke screw a little bit, but that's it.

You make the York fit and you will make LOTS of friends :)

Myself included! Lol

Started a new thread in the diesel section about my York bracket. Haven't mounted the A/C compressor yet, but there is room! I will not give up!!!

And they said it was impossible.... I don't really know if it's worth it for me thou, but I can always at it to my list, which keeps growing!

I finally got the front body piece painted white so I could fit my older grill. No more gold T bling!

Looks really good. Yours is how the 80 should have come to north america. Beautiful truck.

What I'm going to grab for my next vehicle is kindof up in the air, I'm leaning towards a pickup to be honest, but pretty sure I wouldn't have to sell the wife very hard on something like that...

ver' ver' nice....

Go get that $15k LHD 80 in Vancouver! I'd say that's a smokin deal compared to what I have spent...

Time for 12v cummins....

Meh . Nice engines, s***ty trucks.

Bahaha... wait for it, first never own a smart phone. Next never own an 80 series... Then the bellyaching about domestic pickups... Thanks for keeping it entertaining!:flipoff2:

Morb, excellent work on that truck, looking forward to seeing it up close.
Cheers!

Don't you have light bulbs to change and frog legs to eat?

(it wasn't smart phones....it was iphones.. you prisoners of mother apple just don't get it.:flipoff2:)

as for the hilux...nah .
s***ty engine, s***ty steering wheel placement and all for an 80's toy pickup.

Can get a 2000 taco doublecab for that money.

Has its drawbacks too ( gas /auto being only option is a big one)

Perfect world, taco doublecab , diesel , 5 speed for a thousand bucks, but it ain't a perfect world, fullsize pickups suck, and if you drop your wallet around a Frenchman kick it over to a wall before you bend down to pick it up.

Now...someone probably wants his thread back...

Awesome build. Really clean. When you extended the harness did you just leave it with butt connectors? I'm definitely jealous about your fuel mileage. I seem to average about 21mpg. By my calcs you're getting about 25.7mpg (US Gallon). How much does it weight? I have a 5spd/24valve hdj81 and I put it on a scale the other day and it was about 2330KG with a full tank and 2210KG with about 10L left in the tank.

Haven't weighed it.... always seem to have crap in the trunk when I'm going by the scale.

I did the harness in two stages: first stage way too long with crimp connectors, just to get everything working. Then stage two: shortened as necessary and solder and heat shrink tubing.
