Hah…just not interested in hosting rattlesnakes, earwigs, and spiders in my sleeping quarters. My wife will tell you that I’m not a camper at heart, but the wheeling venues dictate to some degree. Enjoyed hanging with you and Matt, that won’t change!

finally found a 24v stereo with bluetooth! Tackled and removed the jumble of wiring for the old Pioneer power inverter that’s been residing in the glove box. It’s too bad that the fiber board that used to line the glovebox is trashed, but I have an idea for that already now that the space is useable again.

Nothing fun. Unfortunate when most of the things that go wrong in a 1960s house are things you've had remodeled in the last 5 years. It may look good, but it's never as solid as what it replaced. Flange shims? Nah, let's stack wax until we get there. Luckily original subfloors were 3/4 plywood and not OSB and it was on the 1st floor.

Also on the plus side, caulk job around the base of the toilet was very thorough, as evidenced by the water coming up through the flange bolt holts. Not stoked about the drywall work this coming weekend.

Seems like bathrooms are all of our nemesis! I have a cracked fiberglass shower pan in my master, need to re-model the whole thing...fortunately it's over a crawl space, so the leak didn't ruin the lower level! I did all of the work myself the first time 25 years ago, but fortunately the wife wants to do tile and we have a great local guy to do it for us at a reasonable price.

@mgrs at least they stacked the wax rings! The previous owner’s remodel the wax ring looked like new! The toilet didn’t even touch the ring. By the time I gave up looking and pulled the toilet the drywall on the 1st floor was ruined. There is several shortcuts the contractors made!

Gotta get some items out of the way before COTRockies now that I have a ticket…

Kicked off the order for AHC globes from Impex and ordered the remaining components from McGeorge.
I too am starting to figure out the list. Want to go with some confidence, armor, and some comfort.

Speaking of some fixes... I need to modify my HAM (Kenwood TH-D72A) to transmit on GMRS frequencies. I have seen the videos, but I simply no longer have a steady enough hand (nerve damage) to do this confidently. Any takers to help me out?

After 11 years of service the Sienna's PS sliding door mechanism decided to disintegrate. $30 and an hour later I have a happy wife and kids.

Toyota sure knows how to design a part to last almost exactly 11 years. :hmm: Passenger side cable snapped within a month of the driver's side. This time in and out in about 45 minutes. Thankfully I made the good decision to buy both sides at the same time. I actually looked this up and there was a class action suit settled between Toyota and Sienna owners to replace this part up to 10 years after initial service date. These snapped on me at 10 year 8/9 months. :bang: Thankfully the part wasn't expensive and the install not too bad.

Got my ZF TOYOBD1 Bluetooth box all hooked up today, it’s nice to have a true temp reading (ECT on the monitor) that also has an overheating alarm…

Single use?

Five hours in on a brisket.
Supposed to do it over the weekend, but I kept falling for the weather terrorists' threats of storms.
