Pretty quiet in here... what are you working on?

Replaced the valve cover gasket and grommets in preparation for Saturday. Also redid several vacuum lines. I made the bold assumption that they were right prior to me replacing the lines. I only had to reuse 1 old line so I call that a win. I do need to get 1 transition connector to go from a bigger to smaller line. For the time being I just stuffed the smaller into the bigger.

Pulled the 40 into the garage for the winter projects.

Plan to post the progress here: https://goo.gl/photos/a2YfdHRzEx1uEFsd6 but don't expect a fast build...

That was defiantly weakened last Fall Crawl or over the years of wheeling!! Looking forward to the progress.

I studied it for a bit and it is slip fit on there. I considered heating it, but tried a long punch and a ball peen hammer and it worked. Quite easy... now I have to take a rolo disc to the area behind it to knock off the rust aND allow the bracket to slide on further.
If I can fit the bracket and the spindle, I'll be able to get the inner axle measurements and have the axles ordered so they are ready and waiting, rather than finishing the axle then waiting for them.

Steve is picking me up from Annapolis on Friday and we are heading to Forge Specialties to pick up the 62 after getting an LS swap. I would be lying if I said I wasn't pretty excited. I haven't seen it in a while, but I can tell you from the constant flow of pictures from Nathan that some beautiful work has been done to it. Hopefully I shall have it at the next meeting.

I can't believe Bart has been bogarting the pics!!

NICE!!

Ordered new front rotors and pads and extended brake lines. All OEM. Also ordered a knuckle rebuild kit with bearings. Are you still willing to help out @Stumpalama ? I could do it pretty quick with your help and the tools you told me you have. I would be very grateful to not have to do this in my little car port.

Slight delay -- what appears to be a leaking transmission pump means that the transmission has to be yanked and sent to the shop. C'est la vie. Going head down there tomorrow anyway to hear a V8 rumble while I drink beer.

There will be some test driving before the beer. The leak is just big enough to be a leak, but not big enough to effect trans operation.......Then the beer will be consumed!!
