It’s hot out there. But I need the exercise.
Cut some more wonderwood for the camp fire. (Same wood as RR) mounted another tire. And finally put some straps on the trailer ramp pins.

Going through the 62 for Coal Mine and noticed that the passenger drum is locked up. Shortened the adjuster to is shortest length and it still wouldn't let go, so I'm assuming the cylinder is frozen. Tried to pull the drum off after abusing it with a hammer and then using the tapped holes, but they were rung out. Don't have any more time to mess with this, so dropped it off at a local shop with hopes that they can straighten it out by Wednesday.

Disc Brakes are quiet now but parking brake needs to hold better. I replaced the front outer leaf bushings, any tips for the front inner ones?

I might have to use a scissors jack on the other ones?

Thanks

Bottle jack should work, similar procedure to the front mine were just a s*** ton harder to get out but that was because of corrosion on the pins.

The plan is to drive the 40. The 60 has a couple of mangled u bolts that needs some attention.

I hope you are not bringing the wife and kids in the 40?!?!

That may be considered child endangerment!!

I put my Engel in the 80 yesterday and took a drive out to Remington and back and when I got home found the fridge off and not very cold. I run my fridge through my solar controller since it has a low voltage shut off and sure enough the controller was only seeing ~10.5v off my house battery. Since I'm lucky enough to live 5 minutes from Dr. Ed I gave him a ring and headed over for some help troubleshooting. After troubleshooting for a few minutes we found a 2v drop from the battery to the solar controller load output. After another several minutes of working back from the rear quarter panel to the battery we found basically ALL my wire lugs loose on the battery terminals. :bang: So one by one we took them all off, cleaned/sanded/steel wooled the terminals and lugs and as we're doing that the terminal for the line going to the aux fuse panel falls off! :bang::bang: Terrible crimp by your truly. A new lug, this time crimped AND soldered (lesson learned) and all connections cleaned up and fastened tightly and I'm now seeing only a tenth of a volt drop between battery and load output of the solar controller. :bounce: Thanks again Ed! And BTW, the house battery was at 12.14v when I got home so put the 3a charger on it over night and its now up to 13.1v this morning. Hopefully good to go.

I forgot to turn off one of the fridges in my tow rig and all 4 batteries were dead. The things you check the day before a trip lol

My local shop could not get to the 62 in time, so we'll be rolling up in the 100. That means some super-light wheeling with the family on Friday and I'll be looking for a seat on Saturday.

Don't want to see how far you can push the 100? Haha
