Pig Party - 2018?

Yahoo, made it home. Piggy started hesitating on hills under load and my wife reminded me that at high altitudes the plugs can get fouled. So, not to question the wife and do as told, I replaced the plugs with new ones ( that I had in my kit, pre gapped) and, holy pig dung, she ran lickity split all the way home like she new what time the slop was gonna get thrown in the pit and didn't want to miss out. I'll get reminded of this for quite some time.

It was great to meet all, some for the second and some for the first time. Although putting faces to names and names to monikers sent me in a bit of a spin. I blame it on the altitude, although my wife tells me,( regularly now) my plugs are fouled:frown:.

As usual there were trials and tribulations had by all and I hope all get home safe.

Again thanks to Evan for scouting out to trails and JMack for hosting the banquet at his site, but also to all who were able to make the journey that makes the PP exist.

The potluck food was stellar and there was some talk about sharing recipes. Do we start a food channel called "Pig Party Recipes" or keep it on this thread??? That would be something, logging on to IH8Mud to figure out what to have for dinner.:worms:

For those who were not able to join the mud hole, you were thought about, missed and were there in spirit.

Again, hope all arrive home safely.

Gordon of Gordobe

It was good to see all the familiar faces and meet new friends as well. This was our first family trip West and everyone had a blast. PP18 was simply spectacular!

We're in Blanding, UT. soaking up some a/c in a motel. I could spend all night talking about the Party and how much fun we had. I've made so many good friends thru the Pig Society and just want to thank everyone for such a great time.

Gordon, you out did yourself again with the great pocket knife. I can't wait to use Andy's (VooDoo Cruiser's) cozy, you guys are great! Even Woody got in on it and gave some cool stuff.

There's so much to talk about, but I'm drinking, so I'll check in later. Love you guys!

Made it home...long haul for one day (10 hours including gas and lunch stops) but boy did the lllloooooonnnnnnggggg shower feel good. Will post some pics tomorrow.
Incredible time with an incredible group of people. Let me also chime in with thanks to Gordobe and Ande for the goodies, to Jim and Leslie for hosting the "banquet" and to Even for lining out the runs.
It'll be hard to top this Pig Party!

One thing very cool was the amount mini yous there were. Hopefully some day they will carry the torch (pork loin) on to the mountain tops. What was the count 6?

Really great pictures! Thanks for sharing. Nice line up of swine.

I got home late Saturday without any real issues. It was 110 degrees most of the way and we had a 20 mph head wind all the way past Vegas and into California. The gas mileage suffered and was only 11.5 mph. Had a bit of boiling gas in Vegas and put more gas in to cool it down. Steve and I had a lot of time to brain storm some ideas to fix that issue.

I had a great time and so did Steve and Peyton. I would like to thank all of you for making it a memorable trip. I have my list set for improvements for next year. Can't wait!

Aside from the electrical gremlins trying to ruin our trip, we had a great time! We made it back with no problems, except for the turn signal relay crapping out. The pig ran strong and climbed the hills that had previously, with the old engine, put me in the slow, slow lane. It was great seeing everyone again and meeting new swine members.

@Gordobe thanks for showing me around your rig. I have a long list of improvements to get going on. Also, thanks for sharing your adventure stories! I'm still laughing!
@scrapdaddy thanks for the tow back to camp.
@Hank Tank thanks for the ride to dinner.

We made a turn and headed up through Co. Stopped in at Rico again and finished the day in Silverton. Rented a cabin and ate at the pink pig joint that some of you went to last year. Pictures when we get home.

ABQcruiser, happy to see you guys made it home. It was something to see how you guys worked through the problem, I would of been on a bus going home.
