FYI, we have a few stock 55s and i dont think we are going to be doing hard core offroading. Just saying, that maybe you are ok w/o a skid plate.

I guess you're right. Just getting ready to finish the dash install - I have to cut out the openings on the ends for my defrost vents. I feel the anticipation of cutting into a perfectly new >$500 Toyota part, kind of like a surgeon going into the operating room in a life-or-death surgical procedure :). Then install the door cards, the flaps that keep mud from the wheel wells from getting into the engine bay, and the mud flaps. After I finish that it'll be ready to fire up for the break-in. My wife gets to start it up, the reward for her patience in putting up with a 2-1/2 year build. I'll be looking at the engine bay for anything out of the ordinary.

I also just remebered late last night that the FJ60 isn't even insured or registered yet! I do have the title, and have to go to the local office for a VIN inspection and registration after getting an insurance binder. And I have the option of getting another one of these:

I got one late last year for my '84 FJ60.

Yesterday afternoon...should be back in operation today.

Hey, I got to thinking, does anyone need something that I can bring along before I close up the shop? Women and money you're on your own, I got my own problems there. :) Parts, bolts, liquids, grease, etc.

Are we gonna need extra fuel for these trips or will we be refueling along the way? If so, you can bring plenty of extra fuel for me :steer::pig:

"Jacobs lake sells fuel , and has a damm good restaurant as well ,.."

Second that...especially the desserts!

:frown: Geez I'm forced to back out this year. Marv :pig: is just not ready to make the trip reasonable. Site 27 will be available - if I can't cancel I'll let you guys know and someone can use my confirmation number to use it. Bummer for sure. Have a lot of fun for me!

If you want the site PM me. I can't cancel, but I can change the occupant's name.
