Fuseable link was off the battery. At least it was on my 82.Does anyone have any pictures of the ps fender wiring? Sounds like there should be fusible links in there? Maybe that’s what’s on the firewall?
Fusible link should look like a connector coming off of the + of the battery
Ok. This doesn’t have one. Looks like the harness side is in tact. So I guess I need to hunt one down.
I wonder if the PO was having starter issues due to the old 12(?) Guage wire that is supposed to activate the starter and installed the Ford starter solenoid for that reason. I know I had to do it. I'd start there though. There's no reason to have that many wires going to it and not the battery.

I believe a replacement is in order. This thing looks like its probably original to the build. As for your fuel pump - factory was an in tank electric. Yes that crusty block thing is a fuel pump. They are cheap but usually work pretty well.
The 20R and 22R were mechanical pumps, mounted to the side of the cylinder head opposite the distributor.I believe a replacement is in order. This thing looks like its probably original to the build.
Were there ever 20r powered trucks that came with mechanical pumps? I'm getting mixed information on the internet. I ask because I don't see any factory wiring for an electric fuel pump. I know this truck has a Celica motor in it and that they typically had electric pumps - the way the pump is wired makes me wonder if it was mechanical and the motor swap necessitated an aftermarket electric pump.

Is there a block off plate?
