Ok, I get the message. We're going boob-less. LOL Thanks for the input guys.

very nice.... i have always loved the reproduction tops you guys make... is that in house?

Tops are fully in-house as well.

Gorgeous except for the rubber nipples......................

I have just picked up a 1983 BJ46 and plan to do a restoration on it. Would love to do it in a few months like you guys but know that it will take considerably longer than that. Your one looks absolutely fantastic, pity you guys aren't here in Australia. Watch you end results and they are something to aspire to at some stage with this rebuild.

Not too many MWB 40's around. Picked it up in NZ and shipped it over to Australia. I do like the extra 12" of space it has in the rear but would like the wheelbase stretched a but as well.

Nice work.
I would really like some more details on your build.
Things like your processes on restoring the smaller parts.blasting, plating etc...
What you did to your harness etc.

Love your rigs.... You are emerging as a leader in this field. Keep it up....!

Ooohh.. Love BJ46's. We actually did one for a customer in AUS. 1983 BJ46 - Medium Blue - BJ46-000660 He had us build it in record time so he could travel the country with his wife and 3 kids.

Good luck with the restoration!

Just a minor update to put everyone [well, most of you] at ease. :) Rubber bumpers removed! Looks much better.

We're pretty much done at this point. The photoshoot is tomorrow so we'll spend the day testing the rig. Come by to see it if you're in Miami (just let us know in advance please).

@JohnnyC - I like those Teq rubber bumpers also. Where can they be purchased? Much better then the pointed ones.

they do show up on ebay every once in awhile... south american cruisers as well as germany (some years) loved the rubber bumpers... there was a guy that had repros ... but havent seen them sold on here in a long time

That one is in South Australia we think. Haven't heard about it that much and have already seen you pictures on that restoration. Very nice job.

The stock bumper looks a bit tweaked where you've got the 8274 mounted. Did you guys modify it with some sort of winch bracket? Would love more info as I really like the look of the stock bumper with the integrated winch.

We actually messed that up. That bend on the bumper will be corrected. But yes, we did fabricate a bracket for it. I'll get a pict of it when it comes off for the adjustment.

Yesterday was a big day in the life of this rig. We made it to the photo-shoot just in time after a long night of doing finishing tweaks. The truck looked great and fortunately we had an awesome morning for the shoot. Keith found an aggregate quarry where the Olive 637 contrasted nicely with the white rock. We won't publish the final shots just yet, but here's a preview. Also added one of the underside.

NEXT STEPS: We need to put some testing miles on it before it goes to auction in Pebble Beach in August and we'll and go through our pre-delivery check list. While driving it during the shoot, we did notice that the top is looking a little loose, so we'll have to re-cut the canvas.

@Honger The bumper bend is fixed but we didn't have to remove the winch. I'll send you some pics of the bracket directly.

Gorgeous!!
Honestly didn't mean to pick on you about the bumper; I think the build is gorgeous. I'm just really curious about the mounting of the 8274 in the factory bumper. It looks the business! Can't wait to see the final shots.
