I honestly don't think you'll get too much for it... Maybe 5k ... If that

I'll send you 6k for it ... But... I'll have to send this in a certified Nigerian national bank check... I know that it's 1k over what I am willing to pay ... But... Think of this as a thank you for having to deal with an international sale ... Even though I am in NY ... Again sorry for the inconvenience

This way you will not have To make an advert as well

I think this is the best deal you'll get

:)

Looks great!!

Look forward to seeing more pics of my truck :)

Ginmtb, does your better half know about this? Oooh, dead man walking.....

NICE JOB! The knobs look great.

The non-oem looking vintage air knobs have always been a issue for my customers. The Vintage Air factory is only a few miles down the road from me, and I have talked to them about changing the unit to use the electric servo control or making different pull knobs. But it's not a huge enough market for them. @amaurer here on ih8mud was making custom looking OEM knobs at one point, he has retired. @REDLINE makes some nice knobs too. - OK, hijack over!

More progress below.

We also customized the pull knobs for the Vintage Air A/C. It's really annoying that they come unmarked.

Nice of them to sun bake the paint a bit , rig turned out amazing and great choice on the color - one of my favorites next to dune beige .
Has anyone else noticed the growing number of FJ55's that have been restored or resto-modded and are appearing in commercials ? It's like all of the sudden the pigs have gotten loose from the pen...
Sarge

This 653 Olive green color is very complicated to match.
Official formulas either too green or too brown.
Could you please share the paint formula?

I love that under carriage shot. That needs to go in the sales brochure at Pebble. BTW, why the bed liner on the inside? I get it underneath but you got to figure whoever buys this truck it's going in a climate controlled garage.

Thanks Patrick!

Actually, we're hoping the buyer puts some real miles on the rig. They will get an entry into the Copperstate Overland and we'll "support" the truck during the tour. But that IS optional, so we'll see what happens.

Let me see what I can dig up. Definitely a tricky color.

Nice work.
I would really like some more details on your build.
Things like your processes on restoring the smaller parts.blasting, plating etc...
What you did to your harness etc.

Love your rigs.... You are emerging as a leader in this field. Keep it up....!
Thank you Sir! Just about everything is blasted, bolts are zinc plated or new. The harness is entirely new (made in house using the factory mapping). Hopefully that answers your question but feel free to mssg me directly.

Juan,

An epic build. Amazing detail. Really like the color combo and seat covers.

I wouldn't want you to give away any trade secrets, but I would be grateful if you could answer a couple of questions for a FJ43 owner looking to make some improvements:

Are you using custom brackets for the Vintage Air compressor (lower location) and battery tray (sits further back on the frame)?

Did you stay with the 16" factory split rims or did you convert to tubeless wheels and go wider? Hard to tell in the most recent location pic. Btw - I also prefer the no hub cap look.

Cheers,
Tom

Hey Tom,

We did construct a custom bracket for the compressor and we move the battery further back.

The wheels are 15" NON-SPLIT, slightly modified to remove the 6 support points for the hubcaps, then refinished/powder coated.

Ok, so we did the photoshoot with the auction company last wednesday and we followed that up with a photoshoot in our studio. I've posted a few of my favorite pics below, but you can always see the whole thing on our site.

Next step is to activate some marketing for the project ahead of the auction in August. After that, I'm hoping whoever buys this rig does take it to the event in Arizona in October. If he/she does, then we promise to take great pics ... even film a cool video.

Until then:

If you see something we need to tweak / improve, please let me know. Some comments have been very helpful thus far. THANKS!

One question - the windshield hold down hooks - are the mounting bases slotted? I ordered the OEM ones and only after someone mentioned about slots did I realize they wouldn't work. The currently available oem ones are meant for the 75 and later hoods.

Wow looks great! I just found your YouTube channel, loving the videos.

Will you be posting up a slick video on this beauty someday? Hoping so, looks awesome!
