I believe on the older single circuit masters they were 9mm fittings and a 68 has all 9mm fittings on them. I have a new single circuit master, but it has a 10mm fitting on it. I'm thinking on using it for the clutch master.

Thread size. The hex head is 11mm and not sure off the top of my head what the pitch is. You can buy several different styles, long, short and with a (tip?) on the end.

These are 10mm...

That’s cool, no 55 kit yet though?

Looks like he has most of them. The main ones.

I have a 67 and 68 and I’ve used him to replace the critical lines to install modern masters, slaves and soft lines.

Afternoon guys, been working of the FJ55 today got the brakes finally bled. Ordered the smaller fitting from Specter and got it in. Cut the old one off and flared a new end. Started the bleeding process too find every bleed was clogged full of crap. Had a rear cylinder give me an issue which required some disassembly but all was good. The brakes are now functional and so is the clutch system. I drained the fuel tank and changed the oil in the engine. By the way is you have the older oil filter system, a NAPA 1350 oil filter was in mine. I put a Toyota original in it, but good to know. Having issues getting it to start suspect a fuel/ignition issue.

Evening guys made a couple of post on the 40-55 thread. Had a bad flooding problem turned out my float in the carburetor has a hole in it. Letting it drain overnight and am going to try and reseal it.

Found something interesting when I pulled the carburetor. The manifold is a two barrel manifold with an adapter plate to single barrel. The used two insulator base spacers on it, one two barrel and the other a single. So I guess if I decide to go to a two barrel good to go on that. kept wondering why the studs didn't stick up high enough through the carburetor. I guess the intake was changed sometime in its history, but why go back to a single carb?

I haven't been able to take it down the road to figure mileage. Having a restriction of a single barrel would cause you to have your foot into it and would cause a loss of mileage.

It alive once again, then it died. Did some troubleshooting and found a blockage in the fuel line coming from the tank. Reverse blew it, then pulled a vacuum on it , cleared. After refilling the carb she started back up. Float level looks good. Next problem is the cooling system, I think my cap is bad on the radiator it's lifting the cap. Then the exhaust system.

I drained it and not a lot came out. But that's not a bad idea, thanks for the suggestion.
