I see a diesel swap in the near future.

Are those uncut ONSC patches back there or are you already attempting to make your own from scratch???
You did such a nice job! Your stitches are very clean and that boot flip looks crisp. I bet that machine stitched right through that faux fur without issue, too. Did you free hand the pattern?
I would love to learn how to sew. I used to sew on my grandmothers machine when I was a little kid. She stood over me and loaded the thread, bobbin, etc and made sure I didn’t sew my little fingers into the cloth. It was fun and it is a handy skill to have at your disposal.
Want to make a few bucks, Johnny? Sew me up a dog bed out of denim or any other heavy, durable fabric. Basically just a giant pillowcase with either a heavy duty zipper or HD Velcro to hold the open end closed. I’ll open it up, stuff it with cedar shavings and zip it closed. I’ll provide the dimensions (warning...it’ll need to be pretty damn big). You’ve seen my dog!
Here's where the love/hate for Wegman's presents itself today: Haddock. 4 pieces. 1.80 lbs total. $55. So much more stress to not screw up when dinner comes from there!
Less sides, maybe. They want $12 for 5 servings of mashed potatoes or green beans. I'll pay for a main that is healthy. Their red meat is definitely considered 'portion control'-priced tho. Except for the lamb. And lamb is good.It incentivizes you to eat less!!
Bah! Humbug! Give the old man some man food, beef! Fish is for white chicks. This the Wegmans on I-95 near Woodbridge? Thats a nice one, I used to hit it every Sunday or Monday morning during my weekly traversing to DC duty, stock up on overprice food.Ha! Whatever floats your boat (or fills it with fish). I'm operating on the assumption that Wegmans isn't lying to me when they say it's fresh/never frozen. And it looks damn good ($30/lb), as does the whole fish. Shrimp, for damn sure, are always frozen then thawed before sale (at the "fresh counter") pretty much everywhere. Save your money and buy the frozen then thaw them. Fish are a different story at the good places. Their fish prices are insane at times but the quality and variety is awesome. But hell, maybe I'm paying a $13/lb premium for them to have thawed it and cut it into beautifully uniform pieces.
