Whats everybody's thought on a Sequoia as a camping, weekend wheeler, kid hauler?
Baby number 3 will be here in march and the LX is already feeling tight. Brit and I are talking about getting a Sequoia that I can still camp/tow/grocery get with but also then I can get another neglected 80 to love on.

Baby number 3?! Jesus dude, put that thing away!

Should work well. First gen Tundra running gear IIRC.

If you are already feeling tight in the LX... then the Sequoia, being not too much bigger, will start to feel tight fairly soon also especially when the kids start to grow. May want to look into a large SUV (excursion, suburban) or a van instead. You can still use those for all things you could do in a sequoia but have more room. Being a fairly large guy I get a good feel for interior room in something and while the sequoia is slightly bigger it doesn't feel that much bigger at all when i've been in them. But how tight a space feels is all relative to the person so i'd say test drive one but try a few other bigger models also.

Now the 2nd gen Tundra feels much larger on the inside but also commands a much bigger price tag.

while I love my sequoia, and it is roomier. A minivan will get better mileage. and you can get one on your way home from getting a vasectomy...lol I will have my tree at logans run

Already called to get snipped in March, but apparently they don't schedule that far out.

Ive currently been vetoed on the 4x4 Van. I'd love to get into a Excursion with the 7.3 but haven't found the right one. I drove a Sequoia as a previous company vehicle. I liked the size. 3 carseats should fit comfortably across the back row.

I’d love to check it out and get some feedback. I like the 4.7 and I’m learning my way around it in my current LX. It would be nice to transition into something with the same drivetrain.

Also with increased sized it may be the stepping stones needed to get into the E350.

Bet he removed all the frame grounds when he installed that 6" body lift. Doh!

Aaaaaaaaaaand that's why we require fire extinguishers with our safety inspection.

4 kids here, 1st Gen Sequoia. The size is good and we removed the passenger middle seat for easier rear seat access. No regrets. We can go more places than the minivan and it seats 8 for when extended family visits. A good condition with 4wd was harder to find and I was tempted to just get a 100, but the elbow room for car seats and rear cargo area won out.

I picked up my 2003 sequoia 4x4sr5 in good shape with 219k on it for 4000$. Needed a radiator. 90$ and 45 minutes later .....golden

easiest radiator job ever....

All the pics friends are posting from SEMA are making me miss that show... haven't been in a while. I think my high school reunion is around the same time next year so if it is i'm going to go.

Anyone else down for this?

Don't shoot!
I've just been looking for me Lucky Charms.

@JohnVee - If @lt1fire was Irish and not moved across the continent, I'd say I know the culprit. Godspeed in your hunt.
