I bought the idler from MAF but not the black plate with the threaded port in it. Available separately?
It’s available separate from MAF.

If using the OEM. Weld up the big port.

I like using the OEM port if the formed PCV hose ia still in good condition

Congratulations man! You have made my wife's list of bad influences on me! (It's a long and distinguished list!)

I pulled the trigger on a 40 gallon fuel tank with in-tank fuel pump. So now some questions about plumbing:
Did you leave the vapor separator system in place?
Did you use the existing hard lines? (these guys are recommending 3/8" supply and 3/8" return lines)
Did you add a in-line filter? If so, where physically?
Did you run a vent line to the charcoal canister, or perhaps it's part of the vapor sep system?
THX
Yes. You must keep the separator. The LRA tank comes with the proper hoses

You need a pre and post filter for the pump. Both must be fuel injection rated. (High psi)
There are pictures in this thread of fuel pump and filter locations. If not I have some from other builds

For the charcoal canister, you can keep the stock one just add a new vacuum source. When you desmog you will lose that one.

Start a new thread when you start the project and me. I’ll try to help. No reason to start all this in my thread ✊🏽

Have any of you here actually seen a stuck injector? Been struggling with my wife's FJ40 that we put a Sniper kit from Mosley on a few months ago. Initially ran amazing, but has slowly been getting worse (rough starts, backfiring at idle). Discovered the old points dizzy wasn't holding timing, so I replaced that with a DUI HEI unit I had sitting around. Set timing to 10* and she started and ran beautiful for a day. Each start seemed to get rougher again though, and at the end of day two post DUI she wouldn't idle at all. Half a block from home after work she let out a huge backfire and died. Pulled the filter off and found the intake manifold completely flooded with fuel. Thought maybe this was RE my attempts to restart it so I tied the throttle wide open and let it sit open all day yesterday to dry out. Tried to start it today and she's immediately flooded again. Pretty confident I don't have any EMI, but I admit I do not yet have an inline fuel pressure gauge, though I don't see how that could be the problem?

I ran a short data log of attempting to start this morning. I pulled the fuel pump relay to keep from further flooding the engine, not sure if that boogers the datalog, or how to upload that to MUD?

A short video that shows the results of my second attempt at starting this morning. First attempt was identical to this and you can see how much fuel pooled in the intake.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Clark

Yeah that’s a lot of fuel. You won’t get a data log doing that.

It won’t start without the fuel pump relay in. I know that.

is the pump running after you turn the key on to prime it? If so , the research I have done there says you can update the software and it might fix the problem.

The Holley Sniper forums are helpful and so are the customer service people.

Went through and updated the firmware per Holley's directions with no change. Thanks for the ideas Nolan, I'll get setup on the Holley forum and see what people have to say there.

Thanks!

I don’t know why I can’t leave well enough alone but I yanked all the armor off Ole Blue today to get it freshened up at Powder Keg.

Next week I’m taking her to @Ozark cruiser at Ozark Overland to address a few issues on the body. Some that came with the truck in 2009 and some that I’ve inflicted upon her since then.
