Changed wheels, painted door handles, window trim and mirrors. Removed the trim panel from lower part of doors.

Looks tight! what rack is that?

Thank you. That is the Frontrunner slimline 2. Like it a lot. Only have the ladder and kayak/canoe attachments so far. Will pick up some others during their next sale. Switched from XD wheels my wife chose when it was her car to the Tundra wheels. Just spray painted handles and mirror rather than wrap or replace since I'm cheap like that. Dobinson bumper and winch should be on by next weekend. Then ill just keep waiting for someone to come thru with some sliders.

Had an 80 follow me home....

Love it! I don’t know much about them but I have dreams about an LX450. Looks good.

That rig looks like it has some serious tongue weight. Does it drive ok? AHC manage ok?

It drove great. I was considering selling the LX570 to get a dedicated tow rig....domestic pickup of some sort but I really like the LX....hate to see it go. Handled the big 80 without any issue.

I think the suspension dropped to the low/exit position in that pic. It did not go down the road like that.

It’s an LC rack. The LC rack is longer so much more practical for hauling kayaks.
Where did you find the LC rack and how much did it cost you? How was install?

They are on eBay all day long. Install is easy just loosen each bolt a little at a time.
But aren't there front bolts for the rack that don't exist on the LX?

Excellent question. I purchased an LC rack off a fellow mudder, but have been looking for an install procedure if one exists before I start wrenching. Can someone point in the right direction?

There are actually two more sets of bolts on each side for a total of four sets. Your stock lx rack uses only two sets on each side. If you stand on the running boards and look down at the roof channel you will see hard plastic sections with arrows on them. Take them off and there are more bolts.

I think I paid $150 or $200. Removal and install took maybe 90 minutes. There are instructions on the site.

I can honestly say that I tried to get her stuck, but she wasn’t having it.

With some handholding form other mudders (@ryanCA), I traded in my ‘16 LC for this ‘18 LX. Except for a hard sale on the paint protection and this mouse controller thing, it’s wonderful. Really loving all the additional power.

I’d like to downsize the wheels for some AT tires. I’m hoping a set of the turbine style 20’s or some 18’s from a land cruiser would be plug-and-play. Any advice would be great.

The 18" TRD BBS Tundra wheels would look great on the LX, can shop around to find some good deals, prices vary a lot on eBay
eBay TRD Pro BBS Tundra 18" Wheels
