On 7/31/2019. When I pulled up and got out to snap this pic, some guy on a dual sport said, "You're in flop flops *pause* and you're drove a Lexus!" I'm not sure if he was in dismay about both things (it was about 54* fahrenheit and windy) or disappointed that I was unprepared in flip flops and had made a poor choice by driving a luxury vehicle. I had a good laugh about it and since it was open to interpretation I assumed the former and moved on to Engineer Pass (passing part of the 200 LCDC crew on the way).

I’ve received the same reaction lots of times. 😂

May I ask what size of your rims and tires? I have difficulties finding 20" off road tires and concerns about the offset with 18".
Like what @eatSleepWoof said, I have Tundra 18" wheels with 1.25" hub-centric spacers. Tire size is Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/75R18. Nitto says they are 35.08 but on the truck they are closer to 34.5 at 40 psi.
Not too hard to find on craigslist depending on where you're located. I'm getting a set this week for $550 with tires that have a good amount of miles left.
In the PNW area, you can find these things easily. I think $400 is the going rate for a set of four "new" ones on craigslist.
Looks good! What size wheels you got there? Any spacers or rubbing?
See above in this post. No rubbing but that took a wee bit of trimming on the front side steps on each side, removing the front mud guards, and remolding the inner front liners. Rears would fit with no spacer.

Also, if someone could point me in the direction of where to find info about wiring to the rear, that would be much appreciated. I don't have drawers (and likely never will) but maybe a goose gear bottom plate at some point to mount a fridge slide to. So right now, I need a wiring solution in the rear for my fridge, some hatch lighting, and my radio body. I have a six panel Blue Sea fuse box shoved under the rear driver side panel but it's so tight, not all the push clips will stay tight and I can't use the cover.

Look into making a similar (smaller?) box somewhere?

Get braided wire sleeving. Get adhesive-lined heat shrink. Get a quality crimper. Fuses or circuit breakers on all hot wires, as close to the source (battery) as possible. The rest is up to you!

Do you have a matching spare? Rear bumper tire carrier or does that 35” fit in the stock location? Thank you.
35” wont fit in the stock location
What @grinchy said. I usually make poor choices and dive in head first. At least I have a tire repair kit and compressor.

Anyone know the max size the spare tire well will take?

275x65r20 fit's fine in the spare area. It's 34x11 according to the Nitto website. If I decide to get larger tires in the future, I'll probably just keep one of the 275x65r20s as a spare.

Same. I have the Falken Wildpeak AT3's in 275/65r20 which I believe are 34.1 inches and can safely fit them as a spare.

Just picked up this 08’ LX one owner with 84k on it.
I love it, put 2500 miles the first week doing a road trip from SoCal to Denver and back.
Coming from a highly modified 4th gen 4Runner.

Wheels/Tires and sliders will be done soon. I’m thinking 285/75/17, Any issues with that size and will it fit in the spare location?

That would be a great tire size to maximize real lift under the axle, while retaining a reasonable balance of gearing and braking.

Just throwing this out there but a 295/60R20 (33.9") on stock wheels with a 1" spacer would work amazingly well also.
