In need of moving boxes... Anyone got a stash they want to donate/sell at a reasonable rate/ trade for the cause?
Yup, we are buying a house and moving off the compound. It's only a whopping 1.5 miles away.

I have a ton from our last move but I’m holding them for the next move (hopefully pretty soon!) Just FYI, moving boxes from Lowe’s are pretty cheap and good quality. The one by us always had a ton in stock in lots of sizes. They usually have two quality levels. The cheaper ones are fine unless you have heavy stuff in the largest size.

FYI

I’m sort of dreading the day some guy at Cars and Coffee offers me some stupid number for my truck.

Garage specs?
4 cars?
5 panel doors?
Ceiling height for lift?
220V outlet for welder?
Work bench?
Sink?
?????
😉
Congrats Stump. 👍

THANKS!

2.5 acres in a neighborhood. I had to stop being selfish and think about the kids. The neighborhood has lots of kids that all go to the girl's school. I can't see my neighbor to the left (over a hill and through the woods) and the neighbors to our right are friends of ours with kids that are friends with our kids... AND he is a BBQ/Smoker fiend and HUGE bourbon collector/ drinker/ trader. :bounce::bounce: Win-Win-Win

3 car garage... I'll have to raise the height of the doors, as they are currently 7'. Easy day. I'll put the 40 in the middle and use the right one for my shop and give Steph the bay closest to the entry door.
There is a perfect spot to add a 32'x28' attached garage, which I hope to build in the Spring. That will get the lift.
I'll have to add 220, but the laundry room is ripe for the picking, since that will get moved up to the master BR closet. If that is to small a gauge, I already scoped out the cable routing from the breaker box in the garage.
I bring my own benches. ;)
Sink in laundry/mud room.

Still room to host Tech days, with an extra bay to boot.

Congratulations Stump! I have a couple boxes And will have more as we unpack.

Congratz, sounds perfect!
Our move date is June 12th weekend. You can have all of our boxes after. Don’t know if it helps but Home Depot seems to be the cheapest source.

Selling my 80.

I still need to pull together a more comprehensive for-sale ad for the classified section, but I thought I'd check to see if any of y'all are interested first.

1995 FZJ80 w/factory lockers
183,595 miles
Asking price = $5,500

Equipment:
Slee ShortBus front
IPOR rear with tire carrier
IPOR sliders
IPOR skid plate
OME springs (Js in front, heavys in rear)
OME L shocks
Nitto Trail Grappler 315s
Marlin Crawler tie rod and drag link
All new Magnaflow exhaust as of 5 years ago

NOTE: I want to keep the winch

Maintenance:
Silicone PHH - about 2 years ago
Rebuilt front axle with Marlin seals - 3 or 4 years ago

I'd had this truck for probably 10 years. It was my DD for about half of that, then got relegated to wheeling trips and home depot runs. As you know, I only wheel about 1-2 times a year, but when I do, I'm not easy on it. I'd be happy to provide more details if anyone's interested, but here are some highlights (or lowlights, I guess):

- It's rusty. Frame is solid, but lots of rusted fasteners, etc. Rust through in rear cargo area.
- Lots of dents, some major. Worst is to the drivers front quarter panel, where I had to pry it back on the trail when it got pushed into the tire.
- No parking brake (not an adjustment or shoe replacement issue - it's just not there)
- Aftermarket cat doesn't have visible serial number
- No carpet in cargo area (which, again, is rusty)
- Seats are rough, but I've seen worse.

@PRADO3
:hmm:

Dang Felix...you got half that in armor on that truck.

Edit: Probably more even. Good deal for someone looking for a solid wheeler.

$4,370, actually. That's front and rear bumpers, sliders, and skid plate.

It's just really rusty. Trying to account for that. Although, I'm not really in touch with the 80 market these days. If you think that's stupid low, let me know. (sooner, rather than later! :) )
