Disassembling the jack is pretty straight forward. I would recommend using JIS drivers for the later jacks with Phillips headed screws. One thing that has been mentioned but not documented is the retainer clip that prevents the screw top from coming out. In the parts picture, it is the clip above the ball bearings. Forcing the screw past the stop is the easiest way; however, it can also be removed through the base if you have the time.

I wonder what the market is at for gold jacks....hmmmmm

Why would I cad plate a bottle jack? Especially an early one at that....

Because it is awesome, it hopefully brightens someone's day, and... he has a few friends :)

Tall smooth jack.JPG

Hello,
Looking for a clean image of the toyota label (foil label) on the 1st jack in your picture. I am restoring this Jack model and would like to reproduce the label.

Did you replace any seals for reassembly? if so who sells them? I have 1980 (green letter sticker) Thats kinda hard to turn.

@B1oodyBuzzard There are no seals in these mechanical jacks. Just steel gears, ball bearings, and heavy duty grease. No hydraulics to mess with. A surprisingly straightforward rebuild. Only thing you may have to replace are the ball bearings if they’ve worn down under heavy use, though mine were fine. Take a weekend and do it! I may post some rebuild pics soon to my build thread, if you want another reference.

So the really tall Jack... do you know specifically which year cruisers got that one? With my truck, taller is better!
