If he wants to act that way, has anyone seen a set of these up close?

TOYOTA LAND CRUISER FJ 80 1990-1994 1995 1996 1997 HEADLIGHTS LPTO27 | eBay

I KNOW that they are chachi, but if we don’t wire up the angel eyes part - I wonder if these are an affordable solution?

Or is the build quality just craptastic and they’re a total waste no matter what you think of the style?

I’m betting the lense is plastic and not glass, but for a couple hundo vs some ~$3300.
(clearly the dude doesn’t know how cheap us LC owners are, hahahahahahah!!!!!!!!)

(IDK, just trying to help you guys - I have a set of new Depos with the projector retrofit from when that one guy was doing them as a finished product, still haven’t installed).
Ugh. They're just so hideous and plastic and lame...
I would be interested in pics of the Retrofit. I could trade you my DEPO set still in box plus cash or something.

Sure. I’m in CA right now but home ~mid/late Wed.
I ‘ll add a few pics of mine to my album here, but they’re not for sale or trade.
(I’m just lazy on the 80 mods since I got the Tundra).
I’m not a light guru, so why I paid that guy who did a ton of ‘em back then.
He’s not into ‘Yotas any longer but from memory I want to say they were Acura MDX projectors he was using.

When I get back down to WA I’ll try & dig up all the old specs, etc for you.

I bought some of those black, one piece units probably 3, 4 years ago, and planned to put them in when I painted. Well... here we are, still haven't painted, and after a wreck last year have been spending my time getting the front end put all back to normal. I just took pics of the black units to list for sale, hopped on here for the first time in a while and had a notification from this thread. I still like the look, but after buying a stock driver side headlight, and with my front driver fender still needing some work, these black units won't be going in for at least a long while. Hopefully I can sell these and contribute to my monstaliner dream.

That's awesome! Now that eBay vendor won't keep them hostage anymore with his price gouging!

I PM’ed that ebay vendor & made a few cracks about his $3K headlights being 1/2 the KBB of an 80 (was nice, but made my point).

His reply was that he’s got a bunch on order & that price was more a reminder to him about low inventory.

He stated he’ll bring the price back down to reality once he gets his order filled.

HTH some of you guys waiting/hoping for more.

I've seen these before, but when I investigated I read reports of the whole waiting for your order ordeal, only to find out they weren't in stock. I never tried to order a set myself, but read many reviews of orders never arriving, impossible to get a hold of them, products not arriving as advertised, etc.
Bummer

DEPO's are glass lens.

Whats a new pair in box worth these days? Obviously not 3k. Someone supposedly paid $900??? recently. I thinking of going the 7 inch rounds route.

I can get a set new from France for roughly 560$ shipped. Do you have a set your wanting to sale? If so I would be interested.

I recently paid 400 for a well used set. $550 for new sounds about right. Dont forget the extra $60 or so bucks for the conversion harness.

You can get all kinds of lightning solutions for that money. The Slee wiring harness makes it easy AND will eek out more from the stock headlights. :meh:
