Yes! Waterpump requires Toyota FIPG on both sides of the plate on the pump body as well as the new gasket.Started the water pump replacement. Waiting on paint to dry and wondering if I should use some sort of sealant in addition to the gasket, or no...

Also, be careful with the aftermarket fuse blocks. The Oem unit only uses a 5A fuse for the guages and a lot of the aftermarket units have 15A in that spot. Risky to run a higher amp fuse. I would put a 5A fuse in yours. Also cleaned up the power distribution a little bit.

Both sides of the plate? It’s already assembled. Do you recommend a bead around the whole plate, smear it around where the gasket goes, and on the gasket to block surface?Yes! Waterpump requires Toyota FIPG on both sides of the plate on the pump body as well as the new gasket.
Yes, take plate off. Then both sides of gasket. The black toyota fipg is fine as long as you don't fill the coolant right away. Assemble and let it cure 24 hrs first. Both sides of the plate? So the parts guy at the dealer said orange was for transmissions, there’s a black for coolant at $90/tube or the standard black fipg at $20/tube. Guess which one I’m going with.Orange FIPG (for coolant) not the black FIPG (for oil). Light coat on both sides of gasket.
