Yes! Waterpump requires Toyota FIPG on both sides of the plate on the pump body as well as the new gasket.
Both sides of the plate? It’s already assembled. Do you recommend a bead around the whole plate, smear it around where the gasket goes, and on the gasket to block surface?

Orange FIPG (for coolant) not the black FIPG (for oil). Light coat on both sides of gasket.

Yes, take plate off. Then both sides of gasket. The black toyota fipg is fine as long as you don't fill the coolant right away. Assemble and let it cure 24 hrs first.

So the parts guy at the dealer said orange was for transmissions, there’s a black for coolant at $90/tube or the standard black fipg at $20/tube. Guess which one I’m going with. 😉
I’ll let it set up for a day or two before refilling the coolant.

Don’t know where that brain fart came from, good you verified such. Sorry ‘bout that.

Aaaand guess who’s got a stripped water pump bolt hole.

Yay me. It’s getting assembled for now. Hoping to make a local show on Saturday.

I only have to finish/bleed the brakes, reinstall the battery tray and battery, reinstall the radiator, hoses and fluid, mount wheels/tires, Remove the top, and hope it holds together for the ~3 mile trip.

For most of you that’s probably a morning. For me it’s 6-8 months lol.

Looking good. I bet you're ready for a road test. What brake parts are missing?
