I think he knows what he's doing... this is his modular bumper and I'm sure the swing arms will sit in the same location on the new bumper .. Pictures don't always tell the whole story... Look at the last two pictures.

well got it on. Didn’t finish wiring. A little bit difficult to adjust because the wings are fairly heavy. It’s more of a two piece bumper with the blk piece attaching both pieces together and to the cross member. Aligning everything required me to wrestle the pieces to get the bolts threaded to where the factory hitch goes. There are two bolts (marked in red in the photo) that are difficult because of clearance to the cross member. I can’t get one on. Need a tap&die kit handy. Pretty sure I got a bolt kit for swing outs too, otherwise I have a lot of extra bolts.

Is it noticeably more clearance off the ground compared to the stock bumper or no? Pic is deceiving

Man I can't wait! Mine is 2-3 weeks away still, but I ordered a bit late in the game. Very excited to get this coated and mounted.

Definitely MORE ground clearance. Significantly more pronounced at the wings where the stock bumper does not sweep upwards at all.

Any chance you could supply us with some side shots too? Do you have swing arms going on or are you sticking with just the bumper for now. I'm on the fence about piecing it together in stages or just buy once....decisions, decisions!

I own a BIOR rear bumper. I've seen plenty of Dissents in person though at HIH and other places to attest that they definitely have more ground clearance than stock and slightly more than even my BIOR which is still better than stock. I'd own a Dissent in a heartbeat if I hadn't found a screaming deal on my BIOR ($600 off a fellow mudder whose 100 got totaled....front torn off in an intersection collision).

socalmtbiker: w/r to mbikes, how will you carry them on the rig?

Ben (Dissent) has fabbed up receivers into the swingarms for others. Makes a great way to mount racks. Check out his site gallery and you'll see photos

@ERMB FWIW: I was on the fence about getting the swing arms as well. I think with the new design being modular it allows you to have that option. I wouldnt want to take the bumper off to get those arms attached. But, again just my opinion. I bought it with the swing arms.
