@dnp I'll likely be ordering a later 60 carpet from you this year and your last post makes me wonder about carpet and color options.

Q1: Is the late 60 carpet available in more colors in the cut pile? (I re-read the first page of this thread, yes and in pretty much any color)
Q2: Has anyone ordered anything other than the stock gray or brown?
Q3: Anyone have a pic of a cruiser with cut pile carpet?

@blbuck, you asked
Q2: Has anyone ordered anything other than the stock gray or brown? Yes, I've had a couple of people order black
Q3: Anyone have a pic of a cruiser with cut pile carpet? Even though it's available, I've not had anyone order cut pile yet. Now, I'm sure there's someone out there with cut pile in a 60, but they've not ordered any from me. I think it would look fine, but loop pile still looks "appropriate" to me in a 6x......maybe that's just because I was so particular to produce a replacement set that's as close to OEM as possible. Just my personal taste........

Thanks, and let me know when you get ready for a set.
David

Don't forget OEM shag......:)

That is a 1987 HJ61.

Damn I want to order the carpet. All these instals look great.

Very pleased with the brown set. Couple weekends ago, CaptainClose installed the full set in the FJ60. Good install does make a difference and I was fortunate to have Ryan in town for the weekend to lead several projects with my brother Jim. More on that later. Don't hesitate to pull the trigger on this carpet upgrade. Makes the entire interior pop.

The carpets look nice.

I PMd dnp a few days ago but have not heard back.
Anyone know of a better way to contact him for carpet purchase?

I finished up Jimmy’s @CenTXFJ60 carpet install this week as well. It looks great too @iCruiser

Didn’t get a chance to snap pics after is was completely installed, but these are close enough.

One thing I noticed, and I’ll need someone to verify, but the grain of these carpet kits run lengthwise down the floor pan. I think the OEM carpet grain runs side to side. Can someone verify that? @dnp

I installed the ultra plush cut pile with mass backing into my 80. It’s a huge upgrade from the OEM carpet. If you don’t mind straying away from the original look and feel, I highly recommend these upgrades.

NOTE: PRICE REDUCTION!

As I have increased my 6x series sales volume, the manufacturer has increased my discount %; therefore, since I'm doing this as a hobby / to help the Cruiser community, I'm passing along the savings they're giving me.

If you've been wanting to order carpet for your 60 and/or 62, now's the time!

The new June 1, 2018 price is $330 + shipping!!! Folks, that's CHEAP.....ESPECIALLY for what you get! Ask anyone who has ordered and installed this carpet. It's the most transformative thing you can do to the interior! Ordering instructions are in the first post of this thread

Wow that's awesome! Thanks again for this project and providing this service. Ordered a carpet for my old 60 and it was great quality stuff. I guess I can't delay too much longer ordering one for my 62.

Thanks for the earlier order, and at that price, no, you have no excuse to delay on your 62! :D

I have a question on the FJ62 is the transmission shifter hole already cut? Reason I ask is my carpeting is in pretty good shape and vehicle is babied and garaged. But if I thought about a five speed the carpeting should be the same as the late 60 series minus the location of the transmission shifter correct? Guess the left foot rest is different. Would a late 60 series without a transmission shifter cut be possible? Don't go the the five speed route cut trim the Automatic shifter opening as well as the foot rest. Sixteen pages didn't want to read all of them to see if this was covered.
