Painted calipers don't seem to retain as much brake dust as raw castings, making brake jobs much cleaner. A quick shot of water with the hose before breakdown and they're pretty clean.

Thank you was hoping to bolt them up without painting as I currently don’t have time to prep and paint 4 calipers. Maybe this spring.

LOL. I had mine blasted, cleaned, and powder coated gloss black. I have to do the same with the rears when I get a chance.
FWIW, I've tried VHT caliper paint several times and it just doesn't hold up.

I've tried to give VHT a fair hearing, and they've failed me every time. Their advertising is far better than their products.

No, but I have used DupliColor Caliper Paint on a pair I rebuilt. It's going on two years now and seems to hold up well.

Full set fresh from the powder coater. New bits waiting.

Fully rebuilt with all OEM parts. Needed 2 new pistons on one front side.

Wrapped and vacuum sealed for freshness. On a shelf in my garage till springtime.

How much work did you have to do to prep the parts for powder coating? Did you consider Cerakote?

LOL. I had to drive to the powder coater and drop them off. They were filthy and covered in peeling paint from my last attempt. Prior to that, I removed the pistons, fittings, and all rubber bits.
The shop understands what I want. They soak them, blast where needed, mask off the important bits.

After the issues of finding good calipers, I have been rebuilding the last few also. I have not been powder coating them but that is a great idea! Nice work!
I have 3 sets of fronts and 2 sets of rears. All the fronts are coated. I have to bring in the rears that are on the truck now.
I swap calipers before my spring/summer road trips and wheeling trips. Fluid gets changed yearly.
It's more expensive to do it this way, but I can lock up 35s on blacktop. To me it's worth it.

Tossing this in the discussion: I've had rear hubs, rotors, and some engine pipes coated with the E Series Cerakote and they came out very good. Calipers are next.

Prep for Cerakote is everything; the slightest contamination, even the oils from a sweaty fingerprint, can affect the results IME

FWIW
