Alright, Lets update this shall we. Since January I've gotten rid of my old Cruiser Dillon
It was sad to see it go, but it went to a good home and it was time to move on. It served me well and I learned a lot about cruisers and wheeling in this thing.
Also, I finally received the AOE front bumper. It took a while and it's missing some stuff but whatever.
I got a lot of parts from Beno finally put in. I really messed up the oil pump cover screws and finally said to hell with it and took it to a mechanic. $350 later and my A/C is fixed and oil pump cover seal replaced.
Because the AOE sits in front of the blinkers I moved them into the corner markers. You can read about it
here. I removed the Third row seats and gave them away to @Taco crawler , it was way easier to get ride of them than selling them.
This morning I woke up at around 3. I didn't plan on waking up that early it happened. I must have been excited, or maybe it's because my daughter kicked me out of the bed and I was on the floor. I don't know. But, I got on the road at 500 to go pick up my birthday present to myself. I think it was the day I sold my cruiser I found
@AMMO 's thread that he was selling his Inti. I've wanted one of those since before I bought my first cruiser. I just love them, but when I got my first cruiser it needed work and money was tight. Then they stopped making them and all the used ones were on the other side of the country. So when one came up on the west coast I was going to hope on it. And it was actually pretty close too. So anyway on the road early
I had to make a stop to drop off a gift to some family that is moving to Georgia at the end of the month then headed over to
@AMMO 's place to pic up my rack. First let me say, he's a great guy. We had some great conversation and he had everything out and ready to install the rack on my rig. Oh and his rig is the craziest I've ever seen.
@AMMO when you're ready to get rid of those windows let me know I'll trade you. This was also my first time seeing a rig with 37's on it up close. Those things are massive even with 8 inches of lift. I may want to stick to 35's so my wife doesn't get too scared to drive this thing. We got the rack installed and I headed out (thanks for the heads up on gas by the way, 14.3 MPG on the way up). Stopped for some Pho after filling up and got on the road. I stopped off in Elk Grove to drop off my to hitch to @shockervang ;again way easier to get rid of versus selling (sorry I couldn't find all the bolts). So here it is installed, for now.
First impression, it "whistles" over about 65-70. It's not any louder than the other road noises I hear in the cabin. Also, I like it just as much as I though I would. But, It's coming right back off. I'm pulling the steps off as well as the flares. I'm going to start pulling all the interior out. I have a lot to do. Getting it ready for Liner and Dual batteries using a 12voltguy.com dual battery/winch kit. This means running wires and a lot of other stuff. I hope to get all of this done in the next month or two. We will see. Stay tuned.
