It's alittle too chili to drive the green 40 around, so I started messing with the next one. I cut off all the weird PO brake lines. This one is gonna get discs brakes all round. I also removed the exhaust. The header seems okay but the rest is junk. I need a bigger garage or a shop.

Since I need to sell the green one and get working on the white one......why not add another one to the herd.

I fully identify with that line of thinking. Another lucky landcruiser gets to be resurrected!

Not really.....this one was only on CL last Friday. It's really rusty. There's some gems in this pile though.
I should have a good update on it tomorrow. I took the day off to play with Cruisers.

Oh, you're right, that's not the one I've seen around... similar color and mismatched wheels. The one I'd been watching was more intact but had no engine/top.

Got the new rust bucket bolted back together enough to move around. It's pretty rusty. The frame is decent. Not sure what will happen with it. Need to pull the Chevy motor and do more clean up. Stacked in the yard with the 68 FST for now.

The 74 is up for auction on BAT. The auction ends tomorrow around 2pm.

Hey Jack did they let you set a reserve price? Didn't follow any auctions on Barrett Jackson. Turned on for a few minutes and seen a 71 K5 Blazer with updated V8 and new coil suspension for $400K. Was in the early evening. The comment was that beat all the Broncos that day. I'm sorry but currently at $14.5K your giving it away. It also looks like the 40 series time in the lime light may be over. If so I won't feel guilty pulling parts off some old project cruisers and scrapping the rest like my wife wants me too. Have enough cruisers I'm keeping I can't find time and space to work on already.
In my opinion the low end on yours is at least $25K. Maybe pictues highlighting the lack of rust on the cruiser to start with. That would show there was no rust repair to worry able how it was done.

Good luck with auction, hope you get what you want for it.

Good luck with sale. Mine jumped pretty good in the last 2 hours. I had a lot of last minute questions to answer as well.

Now to get back on my 74 stretched40 build!
