Here I thought mine was crustyOrdered the first round of parts. Everything for the chassis and brakes. Gonna get it stripped down to the tub and frame by the end of the weekend. There's 50 plus years of crud to scrape off too. Good times

How will you verify the cylinder rings are still skookum before putting the head on and running compression/leak down tests?Hopefully just some head work and a reseal.
I am thinking it's gonna be a preservation mechanical rebuild for this 40.
What did you settle on for the paint? Looks like the white from here.Spent the day moving motors around and trying to figure out a plan. Stocked up on supplies for the paint job rehab that's happening tomorrow. Sand off the rest of the black/gray primer and give it a CLR scrub down.
