How many people can say they have factory installed replacement leather?!

How many vendors can say "I've been to the factory..." when that DOESN'T mean your garage?

If (when) I buy another 80 and make it my "nice" one, this will be on the short list for sure.

Rig getting prepped for sliders a new front bumper and of course the rear tailgate storage setup.

Been driving this around today. I think she will be coming back home with me.

Yes its really quite simple actually for parts. Though this thread has done an amazing job documenting the whole process.

Understandable but since you're having it done on a LHD 80 and plan to offer manual conversions kits from basically the same source you're getting yours done I think your input is extremely valuable. Very curious about the whole process done to convert YOUR 80 and the exact parts needed, and then down the road what parts if not all of them would you potentially be providing in a conversion "kit".

I agree with you. But if I am selling a complete conversion kit then everything would be included taking out the guess work and of course sourcing the parts. When I get back stateside I will work with @gnarlynick2072 on providing a comprehensive list. Eventhough, Nick has a huge list already!!!

site is blank, tease!

Too much going on!!!!! I need a personal assistant... She has to be 5'5" under 25 and very very very very very hot smart..:hillbilly:

Well I guess we know what you're going to be looking for on your next trip. ;)

Should have held off on announcing the link...in fact you might want to just hide that last post really quick. Seriously, I know a thing or two about a thing or two when it comes to marketing. People have crazy short attention spans.

Well yes, isn't that the point of if all.....to eliminate the guess work. 1/2 the reason I'm here on mud is to eliminate guess work when it comes to my 80. I'm more looking in your direction for conversion info mostly because it was done on a LHD truck. It seems like there is still a bit of assumption when it comes to some of the parts as to if what has been done to convert a RHD truck to manual will automatically work on a LHD truck.

What an awesome trip report. I am thoroughly enjoying reading this. Colombia sounds like Landcruiser heaven!

I've done a crap load of research for LHD swaps as well (as far as part numbers are concerned) but Frank and I will work through the details to get it locked down. I highly doubt the differences are significant. Many obvious parts will differ but the only big difference is the ECU inputs since the 97 tranny is shifted through electronic signals as opposed to my 91 which is mechanical.

ECU's are year specific as well. A manual ecu for a 94 won't be the same as what toyota offered for the 97

Leather is installed!!!!!!!! What a difference!! I love the medium brown with tan stitching.

That looks great! You're forming a relationship with them, so they'll be producing more in the future, for order, right? I'm still a year or two out getting new leathers.
