This has my interest peaked!
Trip can also be used to do the same thing I did. Do 5 speed conversions, diesel swaps, leather installs etc....

I like my 3FE, I'm lazy, I like my brown tweed (wish I could find replacement brown tweed...), but my 80 is basically stock so it would be interesting to bring it stock and take it home lifted with bumpers and sliders... hmmm. What did your sliders and front bumper run you? If you don't mind me asking...

Here it ran just under 1000 for both.

....and with an SC'd 1FZ :flipoff2:

Interesting, so quality sliders and a bumper are going to run two grand anyway, and the trip plus South American sliders and bumper would be 2100.... Clearly this is my math just making the trip sound more reasonable (I've got to get my truck from Oregon to Florida, d'oh), but honestly, if you need other work done, this isn't a bad deal!

GCMTRPE

The Great Colombian Mountain Trail Ride and Parts Expedition.

HAH!

A very good excuse to get a five speed done. Very tempted!

Is that round trip?? What did you end up getting airfare for from MIA to Columbia? Seriously I'd be interested in a 2016 trip and start saving now and I'm sure I wouldn't be alone here on MUD, be a pretty cool trip to have a dozen mudders wallowing thru some Columbian mud!

Frank, when I grow up, I want to be YOU!

Seriously even if we could only take 5 rigs I'm sure we could still take those that wanted to go that didn't want to take their LC.

Frank....Amigo; Those seat covers are Awesome!! love the accessories/storage compartments. Please comeback soon with mine. Can't wait to put them on my 80 .
Keep enjoying your stay and have a safe trip back!
Frisly

Yea, don't be "that" guy. Snake bites, sick, bear hunts, sick, bee stings, sick, hurt comrades, sick, sick, powder coat guy messed up, sick, almost done, sick, shipped, sick, oops not shipped that was another guy, sick.... Yea don't be him.

Classic! This quote deserves deserves a sticky!

Airfare from Miami was 230 bucks roundtrip. So your looking at 1600 round trip for the truck. The time to come would be in July. There are some awesome trips we can take. I will post up links when I get a chance. I made it to Medellin last night and picked up the wifey who flew in from Miami for the last leg of the trip!!
