It works.
You just have to trust your intuition, we don't always have a clean shop to work in, nor the time to provide sanitary surgical care.

I goofed and pulled the bottom cap instead of the steering arm. "Commando" works if you pull the top like Frank described.

:flipoff2:

Hah! Frank updated his post between when I put that comment in and when you posted. That makes more sense now... I guess my supervision skills that night weren't effective enough to make you do it right.

Update - on the road

Yesterday was a long day. Started leaving Cartagena @ 4:30am towards a small town roughly 2 hours south called El Carmen de Bolivar. This town is know for its avocado harvest. The event was hosted by the Colombian Marines. It was an event in honor of all the fallen heroes who lost their lives fighting the FARC and paramilitary groups. 15 years ago this area was a red zone it was cotrolled by guerilla and paramilitary groups. But now its an area that is very safe and free of these groups thanks to the efforts of the Colombian military.

The rally was awesome. It was 100+ km of all off road driving. We drove through 3 small towns where we were greeted in the town plaza by all its residents. It was very dry and dusty and the 80 was the center of attention a lot of people admiring her and having Florida tags adds more attention.

After the rally we continued our trip south towards Bogota. 4 hours later we arrived in a town called Aguachica. Where we spent the night for 20 bucks a night.

Today we embark towards the city of Bucaramanga where I will meet with the seat cover manufacturer. Then its onto Bogota.

Cheers Mudmigos!!!

Taking advantage of Venezuelan fuel with these make shift gas stations. These are almost 2 dollars cheaper per gallon then the normal gas stations. And the octane is 93. Cant beat that.

That looks like a great way to get gas. Do you even question where it came from at that price? Love the pictures!

$2 cheaper? So what's that, like $1.50/gal? Nice!

There isn't an issue with tanker trucks going "missing", is there? Lol.

Nahh its good quality. Its normal to see these type of gas stations with so much venezuelan fuel contraband.

Man I wish they washed cars like this in the states!!

It goes without saying they were struggling when lifting the 5 gallon cans.

There is a truck in that picture?

She was a cute girl. The manager kept giving her a hard time made her wash the truck twice. I just wanted all the dirt and mud off of it. She had her young sons nearby seemed like she was a single mom washing cars to make ends meet somehow. I left her a good tip and she was very thankful!!

Is she at least 25 years old since manufacture? If so she is legally importable.
