Day 3 - 4 - BOGOTA

Flew up to Bogota to start searching for parts.. Its not as easy as I anticipated, parts are there to find but I will its a labyrinth per say. I will let the pictures do the talking. Arrived in Bogota, met up with a fellow mudder @Alvaro and he let me borrow his massive 80. I found many parts, found some sub tanks, jdm consoles, dual filler necks,. JDM rear ac for the 80 series, center console fridge as well as many 40 and 60 used parts. To find everyones parts will need more time. I have boots on the ground starting to source them. I am back in Cartagena, my 80 arrived today from Miami, so tomorrow I will be doing all the legwork to get it out.

Leather update - Its a good thing I decided to bring my rig, the lower 80 seats here are different then the US spec 80's because ours have the power seats and here its mainly all manual seats. My rig will be used to get the correct fitment and mold setup for our leather kits. Only set back will be that this will take a 8 business days. In June, there 3, 3 day weekends back to back. So its gonna take a little longer than I anticipated. I plan on delivering my rig on the 8th of June up in Bogota. So they can get this started. I am working hard and have invested deeply into making sure that all my T's are crossed. Leather is phenominal, you guys will be very satisfied.

Now for the pictures..

Man what an awesome trip. Cool stuff.

Wow. Just wow.

Thanks for taking us along!

Thanks guys!! Stay tuned there will be more pics to come!! Only day 4 of 20!!!

Thank you FLFJ - this is amazing. Now I know where I want to spend my next vacation. Next question: where is your vendor page / site??

What a mess.

$9k for a 1HD-T is insane.

Great price on the h151F though.

Good work Frank
@beno What's your price for a 1hd-t?

My h151f was considerable more than $1300. :(
Although it did perform very well in the Rockie mountains this weekend. A lot less down shifting, and still good power. Oh and over all lower EGTs pulling big hills. The A442f may make some things easier, but it doesn't seem to have the same power, and demands a lot from the engine.

Any interest in full rear windows for the 80 series???? This would replace the sliding rear windows with a full glass.

Yea, I am interested in the full rear windows for the 80 series.
