looking good Heather, love your floorboards; needing a floorboard transplant myself:frown:...is the baby kicking yet??

Lou

No kicking yet, it's still too early. But we saw the little bugger jumping around at the last ultrasound.

But...I have news on the truck. It now has front floorboard in place and welded, the fenders are done, and the rear is all welded in. PROGRESS!!!!

Oh...and for those that have the earlier piggies...A little birdie just told me that Slocruisers is going to be getting the front vent window rubber in soon!!! That only leaves the rear fixed window for me as unobtanium!

Whooo hoooo!

yippiiii

:bounce2::bounce: for the baby and the vent windows and even more Heather if you can turn your magic onto Lance and get floorboards made as you did with the rockers :grinpimp:.............it will cost you to take the girls offer to take you to "Gaucho's"

Lou

Another long overdue update. I ordered one of the three sets of vent windows available from Slocruisers this morning. Can't wait to get them!

I also drove over to Knuckle Busters 4X4 to see how they are doing on the welding. I have to say, those guys are artists. The work that they have done is amazing. I took some pics, but Graham over there wouldn't let me take a lot because he wasn't done with some places. Too funny. Good to have a perfectionist working on your truck. I'll try to do some before and after to show the changes...

Driver's side floorboard before (note hole in floor)

After...

Rear floorboard before..all that is rusted through.

After (sorry, kinda dark)

And now some of the thresholds and rockers...driver's side. Graham rebuilt them all from sheet and IPOR rockers.

I hope it will get into the paint booth in the next couple of weeks!!!

Ah yeah, some updates :bounce2:
Good to hear they are perfectionists! ;p Your rig's gonna look :smokin: Maybe I missed it, but are you goin with the stock colors again? You gotta painter lined up yet? Whoever painted Roy's :pig:s did a nice job from what I can see from the pics he's posted. Lemme know if you still need a tow. Can't wait to see it at a club meeting or better yet --> ON THE TRAIL :D

Yep, stock colord for the paint. Knuckle Busters is facilitiating the paint for me, so they have someone they work with. It will be PPG paint. I am still looking for the right paint codes...it's kinda confusing!

I will probably still need a tow Chuck, but I don't know when. It's another month out I'll bet. Thanks so much!!!!

When are we putting in the 4 speed? :)

When are we putting in the 4 speed? :)

Yeah, that one is going to have to wait for a bit, I think. Besides, as I get bigger and bigger tryng to grow this girl child, I am thinking may take you up on the offer to let the piggy reside at your sty for a while and let you put the damn thing back together. Every day that goes by it's harder and harder to do stuff.

Very nice read Heather, just read the whole thread. It helps me see what I have ahead of me and gives me ideas on what I might do to fix stuff. Thanks and a late congratulations on the baby!

Thanks Marshall! I can't wait!

So I have a question for eveyrone...and I need some help. I have a rebuild carb (sent it to Jim C for the work), a new fuel pump (to replace the electric one), all the original fuel lines, and I have all the parts to rebuild the linkage.

So my question is...I think there is an aftermarket distributor in there are I don't know that it will/won't work with the stock system back in place. I know NOTHING about this stuff, and have just used diagrams and pictures and MUD to gather what I have.

So...how do I know what kind of distributor will work? I have a couple extras that came with the truck, so I can also look at those to see what I have.

Any help is appreciated.

wow . . . lookin awesome! i'm jealous and i've got a ways to go before I can start on mine as well . . . first off is the money issue and then is the time . . . all in all, great job!!!

Update

Any updates on the 55? Yours helps keep us motivated.

Well, as a matter of fact, I do have an update. But I'll have more of one later. I got a call yesterday from the shop and they want me to come take a look and get a final punch list together before paint. I am headed out there today to see how she's lookin' and take some pics. I'll post up when I get back with pictures and progress!

Heather, that is great news; BTW how is the baby coming along?..........another question; does your radiator have an overflow system?
