I am very intersted....just need to know when the deposit cut off is gonna be and what the expected turn around time is...Thanks for going forward on this...

No cut off as of now. I will keep you all posted via this thread. Like I said above I am shooting for 8 weeks.

I am with hawkeye and the need for some sort of ladder as i am looking at a roof rack also (God i would love to get my hands on a INTI rack!). Anyhow, will the recover points work with the high lift and or with Slee's Slee Jac-Kof Tool ? Lastly, what are the odds of allowing a group of us to take a look at it ? I think we are all local and since i haven't seen it in person, would love an opportunity to check it out.

The recovery points should work fine with the Jac Kof tool. I haven't used one to be sure though.

I would be happy to meet up with a group of you guys. Good excuse for a meet and greet and have a face to face with those of you that I haven't met yet.

I would also be interested in a single swing-out if J. Demello does not have time to fab one up for me.

Not a problem. Just let me know when you find out.

Man I wish this was in the cards for me right now! I'll start saving up for the shipping! I will also have to start working on an East Coast group buy!

Keep up the strong work Mo!

Smit

Count me in on a meet and greet and al whole bunch o stuff will be hitting eBay real soon...got about half the cash need the other half...

Thanks Smitty. I will make you one when you are ready.

I like the idea of a meet and greet. We haven't had one in awhile, this would be a good excuse. :hhmm:

soooooo, dare I ask?

Can you install mine at SNT? I want it powder coated camo, and with a built in air tank and shower nozzle too. I also want a slide out for my jockey box and keg and another swingout for my bbq/smoker and, and....

HAHAHAH

I know that was partially joking around but I was thinking if it was possible to mount a co2 tank on there. Since I want the dual-swingout I'm thinking I can mount it next to the jerry cans possibly?

Any updates on dates for this bumper? For now I'll save whatever money I have left... damn economy is going to s***!

I wouldn't leave a CO2 tank on the outside of a vehicle....shoot, I'd be nervous as hell that my spare didn't get poached in times like these.
I've seen guys do it, but I'd want that buried in the back somewhere, outta sight.

Agreed, I would just take it on trips. Probably use a cable lock to secure spare, jerry cans, and co2. For DD use I have the compressor from Costco, works great but just damn slow airing up 4 tires after :steer:

I could make a mount for a CO2 tank without much problem, it just comes down to space as there is only so much available on the back of the 80 without protruding beyond the sides or top of the body.

I finally got caught up some at the shop and am hoping to get some drawing done after I get back in the shop mid next week. I will give a further update after that.

Hey Mo...It was good to finally meet you the other weekend. Anyhow, i read on another thread that 4x4 labs sells their ladder as a separate piece. Perhaps that my be an easier alternative for those of us that were hoping for a mo' bumper with a ladder ? Just a thought.

Do you think if i tell the :princess: that the new bumper is just the old one painted black she will believe me ?

Sure why not just stick to the story...

Luke has designed all of his as a modular system, pretty damn ingenius. I need to play around with the ladder idea with the single swingout and see how well they can be combined.

Thanks Mo. I actually like the dual swingout and am cool if you want to go that route and you are ok with that design. If not, man i love the bumper the way it is and will be very cool with it as is.

Update for all. I appologize for taking so long but I am working on getting things drawn up. I am hoping to get them done before too long but it is taking longer than expected as I have to balance that and the day to day of the shop as well. The main hold up is that I did virtually nothing on my bumper in a production ready format since I was just doing it for me therefore I have to go back and re-create it in a way more conducive to "mass" production.

Mo I went ahead and ordered a Slee so can you remove me from the list? I really like your design but wanted a rear bumper before an Arizona trip in 3 weeks so I decided to go for the Slee with the hoops.

I'm very stoked that you are making these and we finally have a SoCal fabricator for the 80's. I will need a fromnt bumper in the future and will keep checking your site to see if you decide to produce a front bumper as well.

I had a hard time getting in touch with Ken and it sounded like he was not taking orders. The price difference between the 4x4 labs bumper and Slee about $200 was not enough to make me want to cut the frame and I like Slee's about a hair more. Remember on Slee's you do not pay tax.

For the money you save on Mo's it would have been worth it to me to cut the frame but I really wanted something soon (ie. $$$ burning hole in pocket) and Slee had the bumper ready. With the money you save on shipping Mo's is by far the best deal out there.

Thank you for the update Mo! I am still in and would still be interested in a dual swing out with possibly a ladder on one side (again, perhaps you can set it up for a 4x4 labs ladder that i can source later).

Again thanks for the update and let me/us know when things get closer.

Thanks for the update. I'm still in as well! Dual swing out with a jerry can holder. Just let me know when you want the deposit and then when you want the rest of the $ by.

No worries Dan. I totally understand and thank you for the complements. The Christo's is a top notch bumper, you won't be disappointed.

I have been wanting a new front bumper for awhile, perhaps I should put one together. :hhmm: If I do I will make sure to make it more production ready, just in case. As soon as I pull some extra time out of my ass. :D
