I scored a new unobtanium AC evaporator blower resistor from @ToyotaMatt.

Can't wait to get this Nippon Denso Factory AC up and running again!

It's been awhile since I have drove or worked on the 40.
I installed a late model heater console today that I got from @Wadesters a couple year ago.
Thanks for the factory hole measurements @EWheeler

I used old, vintage Toyota M6 hardware for the front two mounting feet and M8 bolts for the rear feet.

I still need to source late model Toyota rear heater lines. I think I just use 5/8" heater hose until I find the foam covered hard lines.

I installed an intermittent wiper harness from @Engineer8000 along with an actual intermittent wiper switch from an Australian 40.
My 40 now has intermittent, low and high settings!

While I was in there, I also swapped out radio bezels as mine was cracked. I put a new one on from @ToyotaMatt

Swapped my rusty instrument cluster parts with one obtained from @JVZii
I reused my bezel, temp gauge and ammeter as the donors didn't work. At least I now have a spare oil press and fuel gauges.

Here's the before, note all the rust.

Here's after cleanup with Dawn, cleaner wax, polish and wax.

Taking a que from @Aloha Jen a few months ago - I stopped by Autozone yesterday and picked up a Blazer International B95 4" stop/turn/tail light kit. Being that I wired a trailer plug into my rear harness, this was a very simple 3rd Bake Light addition. I have a few extra hubcaps (front & rear), so I used one of the fronts, and inserted the light from backside of the hubcap. I'd say it sealed up good. Next was to wire in a simple harness from the new light to the trailer plug, but making sure I can swing the tire open. And here is the result.

A few weeks ago @Aloha Jen, @GA Architect , @70fj40, and @knuckle47 (maybe some others) were talking about a mod that blew me away and now I have to do this. Yes, in case you missed it, the 3rd Brake Light Hub Cap! Now, I'm not going to let the small details, like not having OEM rims or hubcaps get in the way on this one. I have 16 inch white spoke trailer rims, but they have always been bent and hard to balance. They look good! And I can run 235/85/16, which are perfect. They also cost about $50 per rim at E-trailer, a great Economy option. But it's time to buy the factory Toyota rims and caps while I still can, and then I'll look for those Kenda Klevar 33x9.5-15s next time I need tires. I got the Blazer International B95 light that GA Architect used (although the packaging said Hopkins Towing, the light itself was branded Blazer and the package said B95), and followed his advise for installing it from the back side of the hub cap (Oh yeah, already got those from my local Toyota, it took less than 24 hours to get them :) ). So, here is where I am, now I just have to get the rims.

Have a great week everyone!
I took an idea from @GA Architect & @GreaseMonkey and added a Blazer aka Hopkins B95 incandescent 3rd brake light from AutoZone.

I still need to sort out wiring it in.

Put on a Dobinson 1.75" lift this weekend. That has been on the shelf since last spring.

It took a fair bit of fiddling with. The greaseable spring pins were not drilled for the alignment bolts in the correct locations so they all had to be filed to get the 12mm hex head bolts to thread in.

My 40 already had the Toyota "cruiser lean" plates installed on the right rear and front spring packs and 2.5 degree caster shims on the front.

However, the caster shims were the slip over the spring pin not bolt down.

Luckily I had 60 series rear spring pins that have a taller top pin to allow the caster shim to slip over and still have enough lip to sit into the axle perch hole. The 60 rear pins are a perfect fit for the axle perch holes.

* Anyone adding Dobinson springs, buy Toyota rear 60 series spring pins. As the bolts are the exact length needed for this spring pack.

Due to using the larger diameter head 60 series rear spring pins up front, I could not reuse the Toyota "cruiser lean" plate up front.
