Figured i may take a small detour and actually make this a "build thread" instead of a wheeling photo album for a little while

i never got around to posting the pictures, in this thread, that my brother took while we installed the ironman "B" lift...
(sorry for the bad quality, iPhone pics)

starting on the rears.

RJ (rjs78) and his buddy, peter, let me borrow their tools and even helped do some wrenching.

DO NOT burn pins/bushings with map gas for a few minutes, then immediately pound on them while wearing shorts.... Hence the pants..

Finished the rears, then the next day my dad and i started the fronts.

All done!! Don't mind the truck in back, my little brother doesn't know any better hahaha.

There was some pretty crazy stink bug (felt like i was gonna fall through he win shield while driving), so i put a 2" extended greasable anti-inversion shackle up front and it leveled out to where it sits today.

After going down some very tight, very rocky, very tree-y trails, i decided i REALLY needed a set of rock sliders. so i got on the computer and ordered a safari snorkel instead.

Taped on that template, sharpied up the sides, ready for the cuts (physically, not mentally...)

i didn't have the correct size hole saw (95mm), so i went to ACC to borrow theirs (which they also didn't have haha). After a few minutes of wondering what to do, i decided ,with no authority on the matter, that the instructions were wrong and used a 92mm hole saw instead.

Huge thanks are in order for Michael and Brian for allowing me to use their drill/holesaw :)

But as it turns out, the instructions were not a typo and additional grinding was needed to allow the metal elbow/rivets to fit through the hole :hillbilly:

Everything else went smooth as silk though, and i am SUPER happy with the way it turned out.

I even got to tighten up my stupid antenna mount so now it doesn't spin around all the time :D

Sure i live in the city, and i don't really need a snorkel, but they do look cool as s***

And if you have any questions, i wouldn't ask me, try consulting this "VERY GOOD SNORKEL INSTALL THREAD". They followed the directions and didn't BS their way through
And don't worry that its for a 3b engine, the air box has been modified and now the its the same sequence.

Went on another trip to durhamtown with KingKong and his 80.

This time we spent most of this time in park 1(?) I'm pretty sure and turned out it was a lot nicer than we believed.

Random Hill climbs:

some mud got in, or someone took a s*** on my seat while i wasn't looking.

gunned it so i wouldn't get stuck, bad idea, i think i turned my passengers vertebrae to dust.

Hills just don't look steep in pictures hahaha.

If you look closely you'll see a dumbass playing crocodile hunter and picking up a rattlesnake. why? trying to be cool? or hes just retarded? (probably the latter).
All i know is I'm glad he didn't fxxx up my day and get bitten.

Getting ready to head down slippery nipple.

Post isn't complete with out me getting stuck.

Atleast it bent my bumper back :D

Getting mighty close to where i tapped the ass last time. only to hit my bumper in the exact same spot as i did last time and bend it back out :lol:

Oh yeah, i tore off a third of my grille and broke my corner light on a tree that i could have easily avoided
but i would've had to reach down to the gearstick and move it back a little, and thats just a little too much work...

pretty good day though.

Good pics as usual Patrick! Whats with you getting the 62 stuck lately lmao?? J/K but looks like you guys had a good time man!

Haha, yeah Stefon, the truck just can't do what I want it to yet. I do need an ARB/winch and lockers though. That should hold me over for a while haha.
Ill call ya next time I head out so you can ride with me and Aidan and get the lay of the land.
It's gonna be SICK when you get your new vehicle!!!

Met up with pfran42 a couple days ago. VERY glad I did :D
I CAN SEE AT NIGHT NOW!!!!!

Domes:

Rears:

4 Free Extras :D:

(stuck one in the corner and side lights... Very nice!)

Seriously, y'all should look into Paul's LEDs, they are fantastic and SUPER easy to install!

Also got a nice surprise in the mail:

($32 OEM headlight bezel off ebay > $150 new aftermarket)

Time for a lunchbox locker and a winch!

Way to go brotha.

I figure that if i just make sure to go wheeling with other people who already have winches, I can save the $1500. And I'm sure Asher just LOVES taking time to pull me out... right? But, yeah i have my eye on that new warn Zeon 10 synthetic. Looks pretty neat!!

Not sure how I managed to miss this thread, but I'm hooked now. Get some sliders, your LC will thank you.

Thank you for looking :)
stay tuned, hopefully il have a little something in the next few weeks

DON'T EVER MONKEY WITH THAT WOODGRAIN.....

I effing love it. Looking good man.

If you are going to keep wheeling like you do....(you know, you saw my thread)
Get some sliders on there.

Thanks a lot :) and don't worry, i love the woodgrain as well. Only problem is time is beginning to take its toll on the vinyl. Very very slight peeling on the passenger door :frown:
Ill probably get a set of WK sliders relatively soon, people seem to be pretty happy with them. Then ill ARB the rear so i don't have to rocket over stuff and bounce into trees and s***, i can jut kinda crawler over them all cool like.

Just got off the horn with Sam at Lowe toyota. Should have some new o2 sensors, light lenses, hood bumpers (to level the hood) in the very near future!!
Would rather be installing an air locker or upgraded headlight harness but i guess getting my mpgs back up to 14 is better for the wallet.

I was thinking of doing something like that, but I wasn't sure if that's the best, most permanent solution.

sweet truck , i like the wood look, never seen that on a 60 before.
congratulations

Convoyed it up with Nick (2000UZJ) to Golden Mountain Park for a couple days of wheeling at the 2012 ACC Invitational.

Im really glad he was able to convince me that wheeling with some great people > working on a school project with people i hate.

My little brother and photographer,Aidan, wasn't able to make this trip so the only photos I'm in are the ones i managed to photo bomb.

I meat some awesome people and new wheeling buds, you know who you are Ankur (AnkurGT), Charles (Griffin), and Nick (2000UZJ) and Peter (too cool to be on mud, I guess haha).

On to the pics...

My attempt at being artsy.

Look at those sexy trucks. Me, Ankur, Nick warming up on trail 42.

Cant forget Charles "Party-Master" Griffin's badass 40. I love that thing!

I think i need to stop saving my money for the future and step my game up on accessories. You guys are making me look bad :flipoff2:

Had the best time on this camping trip and definitely plan on hitting the trails with y'all again

Word. Good to finally meet you too... and finally check out the infamous Woody. Great rig... I've got tire envy, just so you know... I should've gone with 12.50s.

Itching to wheel again...

What's up Patrick! I must've fell behind on your thread, I was like "when the hell did he get a snorkel?" So I had to back track a little. Cool looking wheeling spot. I must say, I like the look of the skinny shoes on the white 60, no offense sir.

Danny

Edit: I think someone did in fact s*** on your passenger seat. Awkward position, maybe a nimble someone ;P

These wide moutherfxxxers are heavy as hell ankur haha. You were quite spritely on those 10.50" tires going up those steep mountain roads. But the wider stance did help me a good bit. Right before we all went to spot Nick and Charles up 7, Peter and i got up on two wheels P-RETTY GOOD and almost laid down onto the driver side coming down 1, where that big orange PVC type hose was laying. I was quite proud when Mr. Peter Norvall told me that that was the most tippy he had ever been in a vehicle. I just wish the that white 80 (the mans name is escaping me at the moment... sequoia rims) was filming, that would have had some entertaining cursing/commentary, by the sound of his "congratulations" back at camp HAHAHA. The "almost" mishap story got back to Brian and Michael and they "inducted me" into the "Two Wheel Club"... probably made it up right on the spot

And Ill hit you up anytime i get an invite or plan a little trip or anything. only thing is, it may be VERY last minute... thats usually how all my excursions go haha. You haven't been to Durhamtown yet i i don't think, so i know you cant be sick of it yet haha. we can go there in a couple weeks... ill shoot ya a text.

Nice rig looks like fun

Thank you very much :)

None taken my good man, i am a little jealous that Ankur has the blacked out stock rims. I bought a set about 4 months ago thinking that i was going to powder coat them, but then i decided i wanted big ol' tires haha. I don't think i would like the balloonish look of a 12.50" tire on a 7"(i think?) rim. I would love a set of 33x9.50 BFG ATs for road driving though, those are sexy as hell !!
