Now its time to take care of the rear shackle.... Since the rear front shackle's are just tacked in place, (there were also out of parallel when I boxed the Frame ) I'm trying to decide if I should maybe move them back an inch also, which would centre more the axle and wheel in the wheel well, and take care of some angle?? Thoughts ??

All for now ! Time to make some money for shocks...

o_O:p

Rear angles are better now, gonna try it this way.. Shackle's need final welding, moved them back 3/4"which put's the axle 1/4 passed stock. Measured centre pins in cross fashion, 1/8 difference so gonna loosen the u bolts and wiggle things a bit more. Working on getting rear sway installed, diff side brkts welded, searching for height to place the upper brkt's.

Started working on front birff's, now that I have the proper tool to adjust properly, Thanks to Jimmy ( CenTXFJ60 )

Are you changing knuckles? If not, the knuckle centering SST is unnecessary, just keep the factory shims in their factory locations.

Either way, progress is good.

Well, still putting along, slowly, but still forward.
All welding is done for the suspension, wanted to throw an angle finder on the knuckles before moving on to check caster and found I am in negative category so the shims will have to go..

I will deal with this once I get my third members redone so I can check pinion angles. I have a long front slip yoke and double CV joint assembly to be made for the front.

Can't find anyone to do my diff's so my pop's decided to give me a hand, he's a retired mecanique and was a good one at that so I have been collecting the tools for the job a made a holder for the third.

Came up with this and my friend with the fab shop cut me a bracket for my holder. :grinpimp: I had made a hitch receiver in my shop counter for different grinders, etc..

Had to order another set of gears for the front, to my surprise when I pulled the rear out my gearing was 4.88 and not 4.56, so.. MORE money ! :bang: oh well.

Kool thing is my dad will help me out with this which makes it ALL worth it to me. :)

Started working on a front bumper, just a mock up to give me an idea of the proportions and height that I want. I have to see things first.

Ok, so, my dad came over Friday to help me out with the diff's, we only had time to set up the front and we still have to set the crush sleeve in this one but I have been reading up all weekend on diffs and everyone seems to prefer a solid sleeve so I'm looking into that before this Thursday when he comes back .

Borrowed some needed tools for the job.

First try to boot !! Thanks to @OTRAMM for his U TUBE videos.

Decided to pull the third's from the HJ60 to rebuild and with 300kms on the clock, well, spider gears are toast !

IMG_0244.jpeg

So, I'm gonna pull some parts from my boneyard for now...

:smokin:

Spent a little more time on my bumper as me wifey need some down time in the house....

A few pic's backward here, I decided to scrap the one I had attempted to build awhile back now..( KEY WORD HERE " ATTEMPTED" ) Lol
Need to figure height for winch..

And one curve ball is how I cut the bottom of my fender's..

IMG_0224.JPG

Ok,so I kinda know what height for me winch, had some scrap around and didn't want to head to town for some stuff at the time,
used some scrap wood laying around,

Atempt # 3...

IMG_0225.jpeg

Still to low, time to head to town..

Got some material to work with, I decided to step my game up.( following to many threads on mud ! ) lol

IMG_0229.jpeg

So much for stepping up...
ATEMPT # 4

IMG_0248.jpeg

On the right track, but not happy. Angles are wrong and the end's are to thick, side's still a tad to low... SO,

.....

Hope everyone is ok with all the crap going on...
Gives a little time to work on our rigs and stay a bit busy, not too much for pics to report, got a lot of small things out of the way or repaired and finished to get her out side to flex her out some and measure up for some shocks !! FINALLY !! Been busting' ass to get here.

Got the diffs all assembled, hubs and all. Rear sway installed, nothing to beefy, just temp. Gonna measure up also for front long slip shaft.
My friends fab shop is shut down for the covid thing, so Monday he is gonna cut my bumper brkt's on his plasma table, pipe is in also .
