Even though that looks way off, are you sure your fender didn't become deformed from all the trimming?

Your LX is too tall for a snorkel 🤣

:hmm: there are probably some slight deformations, but not that much. If I ever get around to modifying or creating my flared fenders, I can see how I might try to fill the bottom gaps up.

there‘s nothing too tall for a dorkel :p

Probably not a popular opinion, but I’d say lay down a solid layer of wax, and glass it until it looks right. Then pull it off and sand and fill. Then have to coat it again.

Agree that they show fit on an Lx and probably wrong sku.

We‘ve got a little white left over but have to mix up a little more pearl. I may be willing to pay for that. I emailed them, but even if they sent me the correct sku, I’d be hard pressed to justify the entire paint cost again.

Extra sealing for ocean crossings... Who knows, with them big tires, it might just do it.

Some possible options from the sports car body kit side of things:

1) Black silicone

2) Trim tape

Akira works very quickly. Like maybe he’s done it a few times before 😉

They admitted the mistake and are sending me the correct one, but I’m not sure what to do. The cost to paint was high. Although they won’t have to match again. They already spent that time. So it would be a little less. We’ll see how I feel when it gets here.

What vehicle make & model was the wrong part meant for? If it was for a Toyota, you might be able to sell it for a pretty good price since it's color-matched to a Toyota color already. Could offset the paint cost quite a bit since you essentially got the wrong part for "free" at this point.

It looks like it’s for the LC rather than the LX possibly, but I don’t have a LC close by to test fit it on. (EDIT: this is for 08’-15’ LC)
Unfortunately, it’s my LX white paint that is now on it. Although, it’s a very nice white. Maybe it wouldn’t look too far off on a white LC. White is tough to match, but the filling, priming and sanding are all done already, so it wouldn’t take near as much labor to finish it in a LC color now.

Adjustable rear panhard bar is in. It is 1.5” diameter, 38” long, with 7/8-14 threaded left and right, from Brannick Motorsports. Ruffstuff Heims, which I hope I don’t regret from them wearing out quickly. I purchased their rubber rod end boots. Hopefully that helps.

New adjustable is 8.8lbs. Old OEM was 6.7lbs and you can see I dropped it down to the lower hole as everyone recommended. That top photo ☝🏼 is taken at AHC Normal. Also had to drill the bracket out to accommodate the new 5/8” fine thread bolts. Lastly, as my fabricator prefers, we purchased longer bolts and cut them down so the bracket rides only on the solid shaft of the bolt and not on the threads.

I haven’t had the time to articulate and see if I need to adjust it left or right but I will eventually do that so it articulates from AHC High and tucks each tire equally.

A little progress on my winch bumper…

Docol R8 tubing used. And I’ll trim the outside edges of the plastic bumper up a little more after we get finished and we take it off for powder coating. Lots more to go still.

I’ve been waiting for someone to do something like that.
Seriously. This what I've been looking for. Pair this with @turbo8 rear tube bumper and you have an effective, light weight option for basic protection and enhanced clearance.

Have to see what the final weight is. Clearance should remain good. Weight adds up no matter what I do :meh:

Figured I’d share the clips from my first trip on the 40’s last year. I finally gave up trying to download many of the DJI drone clips and just did screen recordings of many of them. Sorry, it’s nothing extreme or really new. Very similar to my older video on 37’s, but a bear popped up this time (may have to squint real hard @ the 5:19-5:20 mark) instead of an eagle 👍🏼

Great footage! Such a cool build. Thanks for being unafraid to push the limits and sharing it with us!

Always got some epic shots! First it’s the eagle now it’s a bear. What’s next?? 😁

Looking good with the 40s!!
