Surprising clearance even in AHC Normal. Skids shouldn’t decrease this much. And almost 24” to the bottom of the bumper. More reinforcement to come on the bumper.

I’d be happy with a solid front axle and portalsThe real bucket challenge? That's pretty solid.
Comparing to portals and 40s on solid axle jeeps.

She sounds like a keeperThis thing rocks! I have to thank you because I shared a photo of your 200 with my wife last January and that convinced her to upgrade from the 100 to the 200.
Fixed it for you:I’d be happy with portals on my IFS 200 series![]()
Thank youFixed it for you:

OP, this ride is bitchin. Thanks for sharing your build.
Ohh, yes, let’s add 4ws somehow too!
Yeah, they're pretty ridiculous money wise for a blue collar dude. I think it's $25k for a set for all 4 corners? They make IFS rigs super capable with ground clearance and "saves" you from having to re-gear the diffs, although you still need to get in there to lock them up.Thank you
74Weld is supposed to be developing their portals for the 200 series platform. I don’t know that they’ll sell a lot of them here in the U.S. but I think they will easily make money with the number of units that ship to the Middle East. It’s probably cost prohibitive for me, but a guy can dream.
Only other thing I wish 74Weld included was a CTIS solution like the Tibus portals.
Certainly lots of great benefits on portals.Yeah, they're pretty ridiculous money wise for a blue collar dude. I think it's $25k for a set for all 4 corners? CTIS just seems gimmiky thing to me for a recreational wheeler. Cost adder and one more thing to fail. I get it for a racing application like Dakkar, but for the wheeler dude, how much of an inconvenience is it to stop and air up?
Look forward to where you take this 200!
Glad I could help with your build! This is another reason why I like how modular my skids can be. Thanks for posting about this here and IG.Oliver, @turbo8 worked with me to create a custom angle and a little bit thicker front spurs/supports with his ee-offroading.com skid plate system.
What an amazing design and wonderful person to work with
I hope to eventually skin them with UHMW
