Another step. Hung the doors and tailgate that I painted yesterday as well.

Dash back together for hopefully the last time. Exciting.

Glass going in, panels going on, exhaust repaired good enough till I have time to do compounds.

This is not pretty, but I didn't expect the downpipe to be so rotted! Damn that heat wrap. I read about this happening, moisture held against the exhaust by wrap rotting it out, but jesus, this is bad.

My wife (she's the best) let me cure panels in the dining room while it was raining this weekend

Hanging doors, hatch, putting hardware and weather stripping on. She's coming together.

Yea last years was pretty lame, wish they would have kept the same style they've had for years.

Johnny, you going to have Moonshine back together in time for GSMTR? If so, what day are y'all going up?

Hell yeah I am. She'll be out in the sunlight for good in a couple of days, then it's pretty much just armor that I need to get done.

Current plan is to go up Sunday.

All doors, the hatch and tailgate are now fully assembled. All weather stripping has been installed, just need to stick the expansion strips in the windshield and rear glass.

Mega Mat inside the doors, and a vapor barrier made with Second Skin butyl tape and some plastic. The doors all have a satisfying thud now when you close them :bounce:

I'm really digging the white and black theme here. I was tempted to paint the dash white/black, but I'm holding onto brown for now

She's looking more complete every day. Just need to align the doors and seam seal the hinges.

The PS is not perfect, but I'm very happy with how it came out. The two doors and rear quarter on this side were totally caved in and rotted when I started this project :grinpimp:

Front inner fenders got some patches tonight. Correcting holes cut for the battery boxes and shock towers from not so long ago. They'll get cleaned up and painted tomorrow.

Johnnie, I am so confused. This is not the moonshine I know from Uwharrie. You, my friend, have been a very busy boy. It looks great. Sure the man hours have doubled since the first post. Awesome job!!

Thanks Travis! Can't even count the number of man-hours at this point

Inner fenders cleaned up, painted, and installed. Bunch of little things tidied up and finished. Got the front outer fenders installed after aligning and seam sealing all the doors as best we could.

After nearly seven months, moonshine has emerged. Everything except the fuel level gauge and the pyrometer are working as expected. Major win.

Huge thanks to @J Mack for the wiring advice! You're the man Jim!

To cap the night off, I shot the hood. Will install it in a day or two.

Engine bay looks a bit more naked now. Much more room for turbos :grinpimp:

Wasn't happy with the hood, so I sanded it out with 1000# and shot it again. Still not super happy, but it's better than it was.

Figured out this neat ham radio head unit mounting spot. I think I like it. Need to put a mic mount on the rearview mirror.

so did you just do Lizard skin and then color on the roof interior? Any future plans for headliner/ heat reduction?
