Any update on the Cygnus White?

Monstaliner update:
Went ahead & completed my monstaliner job, and I have mixed reviews:
- prep work is crucial & a time consuming process. Take your time and sand the truck well. Tape off everything & disassemble trim pieces.
- install doesn't take much time at all, just make sure you do the roof first and work your way down. I did NOT the first time around lol needless to say I made a mess.
- reach out to Magnetman, he's a great resource and really helped out.
- 2 gallon kit is enough to cover an 80!
- if you are attempting to color match, you may want to consider doing a custom color yourself. I thought I had a direct match after ordering color chips but once it was applied it came out much lighter. I'm a bit displeased but will live with it.
- sand the edges well, mine already flaked off when I installed the bull bar.
Make SURE your strokes go the same way when texturizing. I didn't and it looks funny in some light. Completely my fault!

When sanding it's easy to neglect the area immediately adjacent to your masking tape. Make sure you sand well right up to the tape, otherwise you'll have poor adhesion, not in the middle of a patch of liner, but at the edge where it will more easily pick/rub off.
You'll get a few drips from the loaded roller. So maybe start from top and work down. Also drop sheet everything you want kept clean.
I spent the better part of two days prepping for just a morning of application on ONLY my fenders. I had to remove sliders, mudflaps and all four bumper corners for my tiny job. Don't think you can just receive the liner and start rolling willy nilly. Also factor supply costs. The cost of the liner is not your total cost.

Sanding:
I already have a small chip, on the corner of my fender flare. I hit it with my bull bar and the liner material flaked off. Easily. I noticed the paint underneath was close to bare with hardly any scuffing. And I spent HOURS sanding.
Start at the top:
I'm a short guy, 5'7. When I started the first coat I worked over the good first and then hit the sides. By the time I got to the roof, both sides had been covered. My step ladder had to be moved away from the truck a bit which made reaching the middle of the roof a chore! I actually drove the truck inside my dads shop & stood on a layout table lol.
Roller:
The roller DID separate and get in the finishing coat.

Ok with that being said about prep work, do you feel that the sanding/scoring pads provided by Monstaliner are adequate or are we better off getting something of higher grit?
On mine I used a random orbit sander and some 180-grit discs. Using a scuffing pad seems like it'd be too much work. For the edges, I just used sandpaper by hand, getting as close as I could.

Thinking that when I get around to doing mine I may go about this like a normal spray paint job (plan on rolling on) and opening doors and taking hood, rear lower gate off to do those properly which would then allow me to hit all edges properly.
Oh and Cardona1.... Love the hybrid/carpool lane magnet on the rear bumper!! When I first noticed it I LOL'd!

So what is the consensus on the durability?
I'm thinking about doing this (paying someone else to do it) but if it's going to flake off with the slightest mishap then it doesn't sound like that much of an improvement. The Mythbusters made it seem like the car they painted with bedliner was indestructible.

Durability is good if you prep properly and follow the application instructions. I did the top of my truck bed in black and its holding up very well to abuse and isn't flaking at all. I used chassis saver as a primer coat then monsta'd over it. I would have to try hard to get under it, even at the edges.
My bed is a different story. I applied chassis saver and tinted monsta in it. The chassis and first coat of monsta is very solid and stuck well. I waited too long to apply the second coat of liner not expecting the tinted to cure so much quicker. So the second coat is peeling.

I did the interior of my HJ47 with durabak and sprayed it with the understanding from some others that by spraying it, the texture was less abrasive. I didn't roll any of it to compare texture so I'm not sure.
Like many 80 series, I have little to no clear coat left, other options are far too expensive for my beat up old land cruiser.
So - Spray or Roll?

I sprayed mine on. Did the inside roof and both sides of the floor, etc. Looks good.
