I also traded some parts I didn't need to Nolen and got a winch mount bumper in return. So when you have a winch mount bumper, you need a winch, right.

I found a used/rebuilt Warn 8274 in north Mississippi so picked it up while driving to Jackson. I didn't want a shiny new winch on this Cruiser so it worked out perfectly. Plus I spent a fourth of full retail.

Seems right at home on the truck. I'll never use it but at least it looks like I mean business. ;)

Nice score. That 40 is Looking good!

I took the 40 out and about today to make sure it’s running as advertised.

I added a touch more timing and dialed in the IAC on the Sniper. I also bumped the idle up from 700 to 800.

No issues. Just hums along and drives great.

I am waiting on parts for Weenie3 so Moe is up. I’ll see what I can get done over the next 3 days before I go out of town on this one

Bueno. Proof of life received. Take your time. Maybe Miller can pack some protein in it for the ride home.

It’s a good thing he’s an engineer, he would have not been a good surgeon.

I tried to sell Todd on the electric PS but he wanted a factory box so I went shopping and found a box. It looks good. Hope it is.

The pump will be a 3F, OEM Toyota is still available. Used parts sourced from Classic Cruisers.

I’ve done this once. I think I remember how all this works.

I feel bad. Todd went through hell getting a new adjuster from T Matt and it won’t work in this application. I’ll see if I can get him one but for now this is how it’s on

The 3F pump on a 2F…..if you are putting this on and not pulling the radiator out you have to install the pump on the bracket WITH the pulley on it then install the bracket to the head.

In all fairness, any problems related to obtaining that adjuster were entirely my fault. It's a great solution but it's not idiot-proof.

Looking good! I can lay off pumping iron.
Is steering assist really. Still may need to stick to the weights.

You basically have to take the whole column apart to remove the steering shaft from the box.

That’s a good place to stop for the day.

Oof - shots fired! ;)

It was pretty basic for me. I didn't want the non-OEM components on the truck - under the hood or in the passenger compartment. Plus I wanted my steering wheel centered, damn it.

Wait until you hear that I'm also moving the Sniper screen into the glove box....

I wasn't looking for Saginaw heft power steering. Just a little assist for an old guy.

Fire away.

Man, it's tough for me to ever try to sell someone on PS when the electric kit from Roger is available. It's such a no brainer and really doesn't add any complexity or strain on long-term reliability. And being able to dial in the steering assist with the potentiometer is clutch.
I tried. He foot stomped.

Finding the OEM boxes are the biggest limiting factor really. This one came out of Saudi. They got a lot more of them than we did.

what was the issue with the alternaotr bar? Looks like you need a 1F version
