The straight one was hitting the alternator. The one that T Matt sells that works on the passenger side has a dog leg at the end that puts it too far away from the alternator
This stock bar works fine just no tensioner.

Oh, is that the 2F alternator? That’s the issue. The case/mounting tabs are different. It would need to be a 1F or 3FE (or Non-US 2F) for all that to work as-designed.

Good to know. Thank you. Was wondering why this was different. I guess the mounting points are different.
1F did not have a tensioner. This should be good as is with the flat curved tensioner.

Well hell. Got the box installed. New hoses made. Feeling confident. About to put the steering wheel back on to start working fluid back into the system and s***.
The steering shaft is 1” too long.
Then it dawned on me that the PS box is longer than the manual box.
Did some mud searching and nothing came up so I gave JC, the man born on December 25th a call. Miraculously he answered.
Cut the shaft 1” and sleeve it.
I’ve summoned the Wizard. Stay tuned.

Got it all back together and got the system bled. No leaks. PS pump is pulling good.

Just did some napkin math on the cost of this versus a EPS system …..about $500 more in parts and about 30% more time. Not bad. I was expecting it to be more.
I’m headed out on a week long camping trip tomorrow. Going to add some Koito H4s when I get back and will book a return trip to North Carolina with this thing.
I think I have another 40 up in that area I’m going to try to un F for a guy.

I was thinking on this the other day. We've been friends for so long that we didn't discuss a timeframe or a budget. Ever. "I was expecting it to be more" has no baseline for me nor did I have any idea when (or how) I was getting my truck back.
