I'd post pictures on the interior of my truck when I got it in '02, but I don't wan to burn anybody's retinas with the awful red color.

;) OK, Carrie. Seriously though post them up, for that matter as you do the build up post pics in your thread too b/c now's the time for it. Too many 60 and 70 series restos/builds have been hogging the limelight lately.

Purty Yota IMO... I'd pimp it. ;)

Wow that's really nice! I told my wife if or when her Jeep kicks the bucket and if were still here stateside I wanna get her a truck like yours that we eventually will ship to Honduras. Her Jeep Grand Cherokee has 205,000k sitting on the clock right now, but it seems the 6 cylinder just won't die! Thanks for sharing!

This one was mine:
The new owner has it listed in the Mecum Indianapolis auction, set to sell May 16.

Yes, that is the original interior

That is a beautiful example of a vintage Toyota IMHO!

oh gosh...better keep those classics intact, before they're ratted out...and keep those cut off wheels away from your fenders!
soon all old yota's'll look like my minitruck...locked, chopped, and never dirty enough

I guess I will put my 85 in it needs a cleaning and some wax . I dont know why mine lacks the sun roof and those sr5 seats , even though it is an sr5. oh , it has the same light lens with the red and clear and brown interior. its completely stock with the original factory white paint and stripes but the stripes aren't in that great of shape cracked and stuff , 225/75/15 tires, small tires

this is a good thread idea. i know i have been saving pics of all original, unmolested trucks as i run across them on the internet.

they serve as a good reference point for restoration stuff, which is what i like.

see as these trucks get older and older more and more mechanics and people get under the hood and such to replace components that break and whatnot.

more often than not, hoses and wires do not get routed back the correct way they should be. clips get broken. etc...
these types of pictures help people like me get an idea of where / how stuff was supposed to go together.

its the type of info not available in fsm.

keep em comin. i might even have some pics i saved that i could add.

How do you kow it's an SR5? Does it have a tach?

oh sorry I forgot that, it does have the tach, and the altimeter and sr5 badge in the back, so what do you make of that ? here is a pic with the sr5 badge , it looks original not added later

Then I would say that the front seats were changed. What do the back seats look like? Are they cloth split fold down with headrests?

Seriously I've never heard of an SR5 without the SR5 seats.

Post up some interior pics.

i agree that a lot of mini truck guys hack em up, and wheel the piss out of them until they are raisined up worthless rusty trash.
but a lot of guys on here like the early mini trucks / 4runners for their nostalgia and want to keep them pretty clean.
to each his own i guess.

I'm diggin' the red on red! That would be perfect for me as red is my favorite color.

I can understand both sides of the argument for keep it mint vs trail rig as both want a platform unlike mine and many others that needs constant structural repair from rot.

Well, if you want any of it, just let me know. I'm giving it all away, I don't want it, as I'm converting my truck to gray. I gave away the door panels on Friday, but I still have most everything else (except the seats). The dash pad and dash surround are already packed for shipping.

I'm sorta between a museum-class restoration, and a full-on trail buggy. I'm getting everything as clean as possible (within reason), the body should look really nice when we're done. I spent yesterday putting the head back on the engine, and a purist would have tossed all the crusty bolts and got all new pretty ones, but I just wire brushed them and put them back on. Most of the engine parts are blasted and painted, and I'm having the valve cover and intake powdercoated.

With a SAS and a lot of other mods, it's not like I'm gonna get back to factory original. My goal is to build a very capable wheeler, but keeping it (barely) street legal, so it can earn it's keep. I sold my old doors to a guy on Friday that works in the shop where I get my annual inspection, and he told me they won't sticker it with a SAS, his boss won't let him. I predict the day when I won't be able to get it inspected, which will be a tragedy. I'm gonna explore Antique plates for it when I do put it back on the road, maybe there's a loophole there.
