ya bryan, have had an 86 22re (rust bucket) runner and an 88 (in amazing condition)..never cut those up...but anymore, it's hard to keep something factory...i love a factory stock truck (currently restoring a factory original 65 fj40), but when you live in the mtns, it's hard to not whallop your gear....

Well, if you want any of it, just let me know. I'm giving it all away, I don't want it, as I'm converting my truck to gray. I gave away the door panels on Friday, but I still have most everything else (except the seats). The dash pad and dash surround are already packed for shipping.

Although I do appreciate the offer it just doesn't fit with what I have and plan to do to my current junk.

You gotta start sharing pics in your thread! FWIW..

Then I would say that the front seats were changed. What do the back seats look like? Are they cloth split fold down with headrests?

Seriously I've never heard of an SR5 without the SR5 seats.

Post up some interior pics.

I've owned two pickups both sr5's bought from the original owners and both didn't have the sr5 pattern seats. One that I currently still own doesn't even have A/C.

I know that they didn't always use material with the SR5 pattern but are they SR5 seats? In other words, do they have the adjustable lumbar support and thigh height adjustment for the driver's side? Do they have the wider side bolsters? Now that I think about it though, I know all 4Runner SR5 seats were configured this way but I don't know about the pickups. Maybe someone else can chime in.

I just pulled some 95 4Runner SR5 seats and they don't have the SR5 pattern.

No, mine are just the standard cloth seats, not the 7 way adjustables. According to my brochure for the 1985 trucks all sr5's came standard with cloth seats, the 7 way adjustable seats show to be optional. Here's a pic of the standard cloth seats that came in mine.

that pattern on your seats are on my rear seats so that would mean I would have the exact seats as you in the front but I found out thr PO had the front seats re done with a tan color , not the same patern:bang:

I have those exact same seats in my 85 4Runner but it was a deluxe version. Since then I have installed (or will be installing) front and rear SR5 seats, carpet, SR5 instrument cluster, rear SR5 side panels with the storage containers, front map light, etc. Basically everything but the front SR5 door panels and the little tag on the back.

Look what I found driving around my cousins neigborhood.it looks clean to me.

Nice one John!

;) Knock on the door and ask "need a rack"?

Seriously though did you do like I would have and leave a note or biz card saying "... ih8mud.com, great group of nut-cases, yadda-yadda..."?

Seriously though, FWIW I've gotten more leads and connections doing that than just lurking people's rides. It is less dangerous too. ;)

~You never know when you'll need a favor or a friend.

FWIW anyone doing work on their ride, here's a reminder where you can get the decals these days: http://www.jamesdeancreations.com/toyota.htm

*Yes James, I just stole your pic, we'll call it even and a favor returned. ;) Shane

I'm seriously considering those stickers for mine after the paint work is done. It did have them on it when it left the factory, I can still see the imprint in the paint.

No SR5 pattern on the 7 way adjustable drivers seat or passenger seat in my 95 4runner, and I have a SR5. It did originally come with a 3VZE, manual transmission, and standard size tires. Not the 31" tires. Also there are no SR5 emblems anywhere inside or out, but the tailgate was changed so if it had one there it may have not gotten transferred to the new one. SIL, original owner, saved the window sticker and it is clearly listed on it as a SR5 4Runner. My insurance company also noted it as a SR5 on my insurance forms even though I never told them.
