or .... themalca.com is available

I like malca.com myself. Anymore thoughts on a meet and greet this weekend? I am driving my father in law to Dulles for a late flight Sat. As of now, Sundays weather looks better. On a side note, I have noticed more cruisers around since we started discussing this thing, mostly stock 60's. I even waved at a guy in an FJC.

Sunday would probably work better for me also. I think we should do a group photo with our vehicles, and put that on the main page.

I don't know much about this site yet. I can't figure out how to start a cub on the clubhouse forum. It'll come to me, unless you guys know ...

Send Woody a PM.

He will most likely set you up. Keeping a club running without a forum is hard work. Best keep it easy.

Get a centralized place and work your way out.

Organize monthly meetings, trail rides.

Make monthly meeting no more than an hour and a half from the central location.

Get a paypal account get two people you trust to manage it.

Get a logo and some stickers made.

Get 6 members (I think) who are TLCA members and fill out a Club in good standing form.

Start writing chapter reports for Toyota Trails.

Get everyone involved.

Keep them informed.

Keep it easy.

Have something for everyone.

Do this and you are on your way to having a great club. I as well as others have done this and grew UC from 30-40 members to well over 150 members in two years. The people and the events are what attract new members.

Also might help to talk with the cruiser clubs around you. They might be willing to lend a hand. Plus you don't want to step on any toes. Might ask if you could be a part of their club and have seperate monthly meetings. But still have the structure of a bigger club and less hassle. Like we did with LowCountry Cruisers.

Thanks Marshall for the advice. It's going to be tuff on us because we live mostly on pavement here in Hampton roads. A trail ride other than the outer banks is probably more than a day trip also. Our closest park is probably the parks you guys wheel. I do like the sticker idea and logo.

Does everyone agree that our central area is the Hampton Roads?

That's ok with me

One thing you might want to do that I saw Olde North State do is have a charter membership. Those that want to become one of the first founding members pay a higher due the first year and get their name on the books as helping start the club. Helps generate club funds quickly.

They are all good ideas. I am willing to put some money down. I need to join TLCA and Tread Lightly, that would help too.

And yes, Hampton Roads would be the center location in my opinion.

Also, I don't know if you guys caught the last few posts, but I have to go to Georgia this weekend, so I won't be able to meet. It sucks, sorry guys ...

I think once we get a chat section we should make a post of what people are good at and can do. examples plain events, design logos, websites, rebuild axles, weld, electronics stuff like that to figure out where people can help one another in the club. I think the biggest thing we need now is more people to become members.

I think that is a good idea. I am great with video, photo, editing, stuff like that. But I am also good with custom stuff and working on our trucks. It would be nice to find an amazing welder, to teach me some tricks :D

I'm sick of buying parts I could fab, hopefully I'll pickup a Hobart 187 in a month or so.

When we do trips, I could profile them with photo and video editing, write the music for it, and make little documentaries.

Also guys, checl this site out, I've been reading more about this

Save Hatteras and Ocracoke Island - Hatteras PleaCast

Thanks!
