What really made me jump back in was kind of a timing fluke between being at Turf n Surf and finding this 62. Being down there around a bunch of cruisers from almost every US model, in various forms from stock to modded out....it was the opposite of an intervention that's for sure. The 60 is pretty well set, all the major stuff has been gone through and has a few thousand trouble free miles on it. Drive it every day. The headliner has a tear in the back, that is going to wait until the next paint job so, a year or two.Now I understand why you jumped back in. I feel if I did another 60 it would be much easier the next time. I have the sickness also, of cruising around looking for another. The pain from the first 60 resurrection has gone away and I think I'm ready for another.
the ultrasonic cleaner is buzzing away...Life is Good.
Maquires to that boot cover? Mine needs a good dose of that. You added it to a screen shot above right?
What model/brand cleaner do you have?
These intrigue me and sound like a nice way to clean up small parts. If I can also clean the wife's jewelry I can probably justify the purchase... It would be funny to give it to her as a x-mas present, but that would probably end up with me in the dog house.
I didn't take a before picture of that boot but you can kind of see it here. I clean with a weak mix of denatured alcohol, dawn dishsoap, and hot water...dry...then bring it all back with the Meguires.Maquires to that boot cover? Mine needs a good dose of that. I have been wrenching and detailing for a long time, how I never heard of an ultrasonic cleaner before is beyond me. I am amazed at how well it cleans. I did some research and found out you can clean just about anything. I will be buying one. Thanks for sharing.
I wish I had known about it on the 60, out there with a wire wheel on every bolt and nut...now I throw some windex and water into their ziplock baggie and put the baggie in the basket. Doing it that way you can run different cleaners for different parts. I have simple green in the machine.I have been wrenching and detailing for a long time, how I never heard of an ultrasonic cleaner before is beyond me. I am amazed at how well it cleans.
